Hi Does anybody know if its possible to set the level of Digital Vibrance on a per application basis ? E.g I like DVC off when using my regular desktop but I'd like it to come on automatically when I play Quake3, Unreal Tornament etc. Thanks in advance Dave

Can anyone suggest a good force feedback wheel that works with Win2K ? Thanks in advance. Outrage

With the price of memory being so low at the moment I decided to increase my main PC to 1/2 GB. I use Photoshop and 3D Studio a lot so it seemed like a good idea. The problem is that Win2k still seems to be using the swap file instead of the extra RAM, is this normal ? Is there a way to force it to use the cache less and RAM more ? Thanks, Outrage

What are these files in \WINNT\SYSTEM32\WBEM\MOF
Outrage replied to Outrage's topic in Customization & Tweaking
In the end I Ghosted by boot partition and then deleted them. I rebooted right away and all seems well! This was just after my previous post and all has been well since, no problems with any of my apps or games etc. I don't really know what they did but getting rid of them has had no ill effects at all. Just make a backup before you do the same! Outrage -
There are hundreds of little files in the folder, can they be safely deleted ? Outrage

New VIA 4 in 1 Drivers... Does someone want to test them?
Outrage replied to evil Homer's topic in Hardware
I Ghosted my Win2K partition and installed these new drivers, so far everything is running great and SOF in particular is noticeably smoother at hi resolutions. Asus P3V4X with G-Force GTS-MX. Outrage -
I had a similar problem with my over-clocked P3 700 @ 933. It normally run's at 42C but when under load (e.g. 40 mins of Unreal Tornie or Q3) it would just re-boot. I set up Motherboard monitor to log the temp every 10 secs to a log file and found that the CPU was reaching in excess of 70C just prior to re-booting. I didn't wan't to tamper with the stock CPU casing so I added a couple of extra (case) fans around it. Now it only ever reaches 63C under stress and has never rebooted since. Hope this helps. Outrage

I had the same problem. I fixed this by replacing the 'nvoglnt.dll' located in '\winnt\system32' with the same file from a previous "working" driver set. Hope this helps.

I've have a TNT1 so I guess my results my be different to others but here goes anyway. D3D is Rock solid and quicker. OGL is slow as f**k. I copied the OGL dll from the 5.13 driver set into the winnt\win32 folder and all is well. I've found this version of the OGL driver to be the quickest by far. Outrage -- 196MB P3 800

Kodak are being real slow to sort these drivers out. They are suggesting that 2nd to 3rd quarter is the likely release date. I've tried to hack the current win98 drivers into place with no luck :-(

So has anyone actually got a paralell port scanner of any make to work ? I noticed that the Umax 600P is supported. I tried these drivers with my Astra 1220P but had no luck. Anyone seen any BETA drivers for this sucker? Or should I just mail UMAX direct and ask?
