I updated 2183 using those new device drivers at the MS Windows Update page. System has been up and running ever since with no problems in the least. Worst case if it did **** it up was just a format and reinstall.
I think that once Windows 2000 goes gold and gaming companies and hardware companies start releasing the proper final drivers and patches for Windows 2000 it will be a better OS for gaming.
Windows 2000 is still in beta, treat it as such.
I am using RC3 and I just plugged in the IntelliMouse Explorer and Natural Keyboard Pro.
Both work great, including the mouse thumb buttons for fwd and back on the web browser.
The software asks for Win95, Win98, or NT Service Pack 3 still.
