Hey I have found that there is a problem with some of the drivers out there. . . There is a typo in one of the file names. . . 3dfxgvl.dll should be 3dfxvgl.dll and are you running at 800*600*16? found that that helps too.. . sound to me like you are having a color palette problem, these are all banchee fixes, I am not running win2k because in 98 with a V3 and the wickedGL drivers I can run 1024*768 with fps around 60-90 sec ! ! Cant wait for refrence drivers! ! ! just my $0.00001 's =ew

Hey guys if this is a DXInput problem, has anyone tryed to get the new DX7? ( posted today ) Maybe that will fix this little problem. And if by some chance that it does fix the problem could you please tell me where to get the files. I am sorry that I am asking for the files, but I am not a 'offical' beta tester of win2k ( RC3 rocks ) and I can not get the files. ICQ me at 45431226 if you like. thanks=ew

I dont know if any of you have had this problem, but the textures in the game are terrible, they are all mismatched, and the hallways will change as you walkdown them. I have tryed different drivers, but still the same, the game runs fast, even faster in RC2 and the texture were fine. . . .I found this in this page: For those with Quake3 Arena & Win2K RC3: Yes it ture the Quake3 Graphics do get bit mess up big time. This seem to help a lot but it still mess up with this fix, extract the older opengl32.dll & glu32.dll from RC2 2131 md c:\temp change over to CDROM drive ?:\cd\i386 expand -r opengl.32.dl_ glu32.dl_ c:\temp then copy over to winnt\system32 folder Now for some reason I do not have the 2131 CD and I cant find it on the net, and in the ftp servers that we have found, could someone PLEASE get me a copy if these files. ICQ me a 42431226 or maybe you have another fix for them Thanks

Maybe it is a Creative Labs banchee thing I also can set it to Default OpenGL mode I only get Voodoo, Oh well the FULL game is out and I have a copy, so we will see if they have fixed this. I have also heard that if I take 3dfxvgl.dll and rename it to opengl32.dll and place it in my q3 dir that helps too. any word?

OK I have tryed the drivers for RC2 and I then tryed them and Quake3 will not work ( what good is a 3dfx card if you cant play Q3? (Ya I know, please don't tease me about that 32bit color thing I get the drivers installed, with a desktop res of 1024*768*16 and all is OK, but Q3 gives a "failed to open OpenGL subsystem" I have re-installed Q3, still the samething, I have not found drivers for the Banchee and RC3 so it makes me think that I am overlooking something stupid, please show me the error of my ways.
