I'm using the beta liveware drivers though ... actually, further testing has revealed that my d3d is messed up ... my computer crashes cold when i try the direct3d tests in dxdiag.exe ... tried reinstalling d3d, to no avail ... anyone know a version of detonators that works for sure in 2k? 3.76 and 3.78 don't work for me...

Installed and patched hl up to 1.0.1.6 or whatever the latest is. When i tried to run it, i got a black screen, couldn't ctrl-alt-del or anything. Ran hl.exe -console and got into the game, but anytime i tried to launch a new game it froze. Tried it for d3d and openGL. System is PII400, 128 megs ram, win2k pro with nvidia 3.78 release candidate drivers (for elsa tnt), sb live! platinum. Any suggestions appreciated

i've got a microsoft intellimouse (ps/2) and have sticky keys problems in rogue spear ... PII 400, Win2k pro final

Are you installing an upgrade or the full version? I've got 5.5 running fine ...

I use warFTP when i'm in 98, but I like IIS for win2k ... seems to have enough options, and it runs well ... faster than warftp in 98 at least ...

btw i'm running win2k pro 2183, worked on 2128 as well...

string, to get aspi i installed adaptec easycd creator. version 3.5 i think ... it installs aspi drivers that work just fine in audiocatalyst 2.0. It should be pretty easy to grab even a demo of esaycd ...

Thanks for all the advice ... i'm going to try it tonight ... btw, does anyone here have cambridge soundworks speakers with their live? I called them about getting a converter for the dig. out cable that came with my speakers ... just wondering ...

I've got a Live! Platinum (with live drive) installed with the default driver (clean install of win2k). I'd like to get liveware3.0 installed, etc. I read the diff. posts about it, but i'm a little confused ... can someone tell me which instructions to follow with what modifications? I've got the basic wdm driver that came with 2183 installed, and the gameport ... thats it. Thanks ...
