found a workaround for this in the mean time... just go into dxdiag and select basic acceleration under the sound tab... does anyone know the difference between full, standard and basic acceleration??? selecting basic accelerations fixes the mediaplayer bug...

i installed liveware 200 the other day and i noticed that every time i play a mpeg file the audio and the video skips 1 second a couple of times a minute.. does anyone else have this problem?? is there any workarounds or is it just going back to the standard w2k drivers??? my system is a: dual celeron 400 on a bp6 asus tnt2 ultra sblive value

does anyone else have strange problems with the new 3.79 beta nvidia drivers from asus? sometimes when i change resolution on my desktop or when i enter a game that switches display mode my palette becomes totaly screwed.. all the colors are totally distorted... plus that all the other SMP related bugs with the nvidia drivers stil remain eg. in mediaplayer...

have you updated your bp6 to the latest bios?? i think i read something about better support for large drives in the NJ + 1.22 HPT bios release...

I have a strange problem when runnning nero under w2k. It is not the problem with the program BSODing but whenever i start burning a cd about halfway into the burnprocess the program crashes with an error something like "nero.exe has generated errors and will be closed" My system is a: 2xceleron 400 on an abit bp6 ibm hd on ata66 controller tekram dc310 scsi controller Mat****a cw7502 4x cdr ne1 have any ideas??

thanks man.. it´s really a descent workaround for now... but i too get random lockups when starting mpeg or avi movies... nvidia really has to do something about the SMP issues in their drivers...

my problem with the nvidia 3.65 and above drivers is that when i start a mediaplayer or any other direct video application and move or maximize the windows my screen goes black. is this a SMP related bug in the drivers?? (i have a Asus V3800 and an ABIT BP& with 2xceleron400)

is there anyway to get some sort of surround with the dell sblive liveware when playing dvd's?? i have tried powerdvd 2.55 but there is still no option for four speaker output so i guess that dilby digital is impossible.. but is there anyway to get dolby pro logic?? i tried the option for live surround in the speaker control but i suppose that is just some sort of 2 speaker surround.. is there no movie surround in this liveware???

has anyone got a capture driver working under w2k for the ASUS V3800 video in?? there is a beta NT4 driver and a WDM driver for win98 out.. has anyone got any of those working under w2k??
