I see they are rolling out a Live!ware for W2K but look at all the crap features it has . I would rather use my hacked up drivers with a better live!ware product than going back to live!ware 1
-
people won't know what it means and just use the post new button instead =)
-
This isnt help really but you ever think about getting a better CD player one that actually downloads the track names right. Half the CDs I put in that thing never downloaded right because its not CDDB compatible. So get a CDDB compatible CD player that is smaller too
-
For those people that read to much into my post is was a joke . They should just make the post new button work only after you have read a topic and press reply. No help unless you help someone else

Can you help me fix me sb live! for some reason live!ware doesnt work in win2k I dont know why j/k
-
Sometimes you have to take the good with the bad. If something doesnt work people ***** but when something is working fine people STILL *****. Why? People just have a tenedensy to complain about things.
-
I have read a lot of people won't get it until the 1st SP comes out. We all have to remember that people are going on news and havent tried it yet.
-
You also have to remember that non-win2k certified apps don't have the fewer reboot policy..All W2K certified apps don't require a reboot

Microsoft Win2k Giveaway (did anyone else win a copy?)
ThC 129 replied to jabbathewocket's topic in Hardware
Damn should've entered...how many copies were given away? -
So whats the verdict on the new drivers good bad even worse? You still have to reformat ekstreme?
-
They aren't bugs they are just a reason to make a new version

Things to keep in mind while upgrading: #1. How good of a system admin are you? Can you pull all your cards and put them back in with your eyes close? If you answered yes then you should format change the drive to NTFS and go from there. #2. Do you run a lot of 9x programs? (Look in the readme to see a list of supported OSes) 9x programs are like the norton suite of programs like diskdoctor and speedisk. If you run a lot of 9x programs wait for WinMillenium #3. Are you a gamer? If yes, then upgrade to Win2k using a clean install. Also make sure you have a list off all the cards in your computer too so you can check for drivers/hacks. #4. Do you own a store bought box with integrated cards and Combocards(like having your modem soundcard and vid card on one board. Yes I have actually seen a computer with close to that). If you do then wait for millenium. The ThC guide to upgrading

Go to betacentral on AOL. I heard there is a 32 bit NT client available. Next time use the SEARCH button instead of posting about a topic already covered

If you want everything to work fine in NT then you should reformat your drive then put the drive to NTFS. I have roguespear and have no problems
-
Winimage works fine for me in Win2k
-
Hmm I havent had any problems related directly to winamp like that
-
How did you find a retail version before the release date? I guess if it has the hologram disk then its real, but could be fake you never know with half the computer stores around atlanta. I used to live there and I like the stores and such but most of the owners try tricking you into buying something you dont need then they won't let you take it back once it doesnt work.
-
#1. Yes you need ot bind them to a key you don't use on your kb. So maybe f11 and f12 that way you can bind them in a game. #2. I have had no problems with roguespear running on my computer
-
I don't think they are worth the price since most lan cards support full duplex. Plus all you are getting is a name.
-
Starcraft and Broodwar both work fine for me in Win2K Build 2195.

I was wondering if any of the nice people on this forum could find the beta .dll mentioned on the news section today. Lets just say I happened to "misplace" my lisence key for the current version I have.

I heard that they even took out the blue screen of death, because the OS is so stable. People are always quick to judge something new then go and hop on the band wagon later
