Try reinstalling Adaptec EZ CD 4 then install the latest aspi layer 4.60 then try. Also make sure you have the 4.01 patch for ez cd 4.

Im running 2195, fresh install with a Voodoo 2 and a TNT. I have had random lockup problems when it comes from the card switching to the other card, but not a lot. Im running the 3.75 reference drivers, and they work fine.

Try getting the latest drivers for your video card.

DirectCD 3.0 works fine for me using the instructions in the post before. The only thing is that it still thinks the CD is in there after you eject it. Could just be one of my problems

Well it seems that another one of NTCompatible's idots have voiced their opinions. Lets see here why would people have trouble installing drivers?? Could it be because OFFICIAL drivers aren't released or maybe because OFFICIAL drivers aren't released. How bout you bash an operating system with full manufacturer support instead of one that was only RTM'd which means released to manufacturers so they can TEST it and make **** work in it.

This will answer your questions. If the drivers were freeware then it would be different. But the drivers are for 3dFX developers only so therefore downloading them and not being a developer makes having them on your system illegal. So its like saying that Windows2000 is available for download at site www.xyz.com

Windows 2K has theme support built in, the themes.exe program is in the Winnt\system32 directory

I know that win2k has theme support and I know how to run them, but my question is how come themes.exe isnt associated with .theme files and how to I make a file association that will load the theme once I click it (in to the theme viewer)

Maybe this will help, but I doubt it..I installed windows final fresh on my HD not update. All I read was that keys sticking shouldnt be a problem in the final build, because of the directinput that was causing the problem

Byron, check one of the RC3 bootdisk sites or come to #NTCompaitble on undernet since we have the boot images. Also check out http://members.xoom.com/RC3Bootdisk/ this will tell you how to make a bootable CD-ROM for win2K, I used to instructions on it and my bootdisk works fine. I just throw it in my CD-RW, and hit boot then it boots right off the CD into setup

Well #1 there is no 2195.3 build it is just a build number someone made up to explain a version without a time check. #2. There is no difference in the 2 builds

Yes it will work because its using directinput that comes with DX 7 in RC3 and some 2195 versions using 7.0a will fix the problem I have not had a problem since I upgraded to 2195

does your carrier have NT settings for the modem. Since this OS based on NT settings for 4 should work on 5, as to other reasons Im not sure besides settings the dns servers and other settings manually
