    Sound problems !

You see the thing is that they do work you just need to follow the directions and use the right SB Live! drivers if you use the web drivers it wont work you need either the Nov99 drivers or the ones off the live!ware 3 cd

    GeForce & DVD

I have a TNT with a TV out and have noticed that my TV out doesnt work on that card but it works with my decoding card. I think it has to do with the lack of finished drivers for WIn2K.
  5. Hey I would like to thank all the people that post on here and help everyone with their problems. If it wasnt for this board and site I would still be using Win98.

I am using these drivers right now, even though I never downloaded them I just made them myself not even knowing they were around. They work great for me and it is nice to finally have working OpenGL support.

    Build 2195 and SB Live(lw3)

Well I had some trouble doing this the 1st time. You have to use the Drivers off the Live!Ware 3 CD to get this to work right becuase I used the regular SB lw3 NT drivers and it screwed up. Also make sure that do not map through device is checked and when you open up the sound properties that SB Live! is in the waveout box and Sb Live! wave in is the default under the audio properties. If your still having trouble ICQ me. #4978552 ask for auth with the words Sb Live! or I wont put you on my list.

    Let's face it

I agree with the concensus Win2K will be made for games. Why? 1 reason if Win2K wasnt going to made for gaming then why even make a Professional version just make a server and advanced server version, and make millenium work with NT. But since NT is the future kernal for MS OS's you need to remember that some companies will need to have an OS to make their games work with before everything goes to NT hence W2K Professional, the OS for Businesses and Home users. So if 2K wasnt going to made for gaming you would see a bigger market push toward Suckinium the last patch for Windows 98. Also I read someplace that Millenium is just a gap between 98 and the next OS they come out with, and most users WONT upgrade to it. Plus if it wasnt for games there would be no need to advance OSes or Hardware!

SBLive FAQ for those with install problem.

Well some people do want 4 speaker support and EAX and it isnt hard to make Live!Ware work BUT you do need some basic experience with Windows and hardware but some people like bashing others because they dont understand the work people put into solving other users in the communities problems. I would like to thank the people on this site for helping me get all my stuff working in Win2K if it wasnt for them I would still be using 98 SE

    SB Live! Problems (again!)

I had no problems installing and configuring my SB Live! All you need to do is get the Liveware 31 and 32 instructions on this site then disable IRQ steering

    Drivers?

It sounds like it will work. You can always try it and see. I think that if you install the NT 4 drivers it will work. You dont have anything to lose by trying it anyway.

    Setting Resource Configs Manually

I need to set my resource config manually for my SB Live! but the set configureation manually but the check box with Set Config Automatically is checked and shaded which means I can't uncheck it. Anyone know how to setup configs automatically? Ive also read about disabling PCI steering but I cant seem to find the Standard PC under device manager and there is no PCI steering entry. I wish I could get my Live! working
