I just got an SB Live Value! (New one with the Digital Outs) and now Win 98 blue screens horribly with random vxd's and .exe's. Essentially, I can't trace it to any one component. So it looks like the next step is reloading the OS. I'd love to reload it with Windows 2000, but I need to ensure that stuff like the MIDI operations and Vienna Soundfont Studio work properly. I don't use the card for games, strictly for music, 98 is way way too unstable to be useful to me anymore, and before I load NT 4 on the computer, I would like to see if it's possible to use windows 2000 on it successfully. I'm a legitimate beta tester, been beta testing Win2k for a long time on work computers and it runs spectacular.
So my basic questions are:
Does Vienna Soundfont Studio work properly under 2000?
What SB Live! features aren't operational under 2000?
Please add anything else you think may help me.
