Game works perfect for me in XP save for no AA. Turn either 2x or 4x on and weird squares appear on the screen. I leave it off and play my brains out

Sadly Americans have to be reminded every so often that Freedom isn't free. This is such an instance. We are at war. We should unleash ALL the might of the USA upon ALL countries that harbor these terrorist monsters. KILL them ALL!!! God Bless America

I bought a V4500 2 days before Nvidia bought 3dfx. I'm using a Gf2mx 400 now and like it. Kids have the 4500 on a win9x box. Worse case is Nvidia won't do anything. Best case is folks who bought a card thinking they would have support for a while get drivers so they can run XP.

been thinking the same thing myself. this 2517 runs so well, that if I had to use it from now on, I could live with it lol
-
the 60 day limit resets every time you reboot the machine (or so it reads in my .nfo). If thats the case, isn't this build then cracked. I know its splitting hairs...but its monday and I don't feel like working much hehehehe

I think it depends on if you know the person(s) that you are downloading from. I feel VERY confident in my source for build 2517 and after reading your post checked thru another computer and made certain this ISO was clean. Installed without a hitch and is running perfectly. If you are careful in who you download from you can, with reasonable certainty avoid some of the issues like trojans and such.

1st post is the real one...sorry about that

Read my earlier posts. I don't WANT to experience the activation scheme. I find it insulting. Also read how I encourage folks to BUY the OS. If I wreck my data by doing so, then thats the risk I readily take. Won't be anyone else's fault but my own. Same as when I overclock my CPU. It's a chance I accept. I never mentioned once in this thread anything about privacy, advocating software theft nor do I advocate other illegal activities. You suggestion that by not disagreeing with WPA means that I either participate or advocate any of this sort of behavior is equally insulting as WPA. I also fail to see what my car ever being stolen has to do with this. And to take your argument about illegal activities in the direction of real fact, how about the fact that M$ is now a LEGALLY ADJUDICATED MONOPOLIST? Just because they say WPA is to prevent piracy is supposed to make me believe them??? hehehe I think not. I guess now I got 12 cents or so worth into this discussion now.

Quote: Well, if your hell bent of going around the '30 second' activation process when it doesn't in any way compromise personal information on your computer then can I just issue with the following warning: If MS release any major updates for XP, Service Packs and large update files, please backup all your data first. There is a very good chance that when SP's are installed under XP and they detect that the OS has been hacked or cracked in any way they will make your system un-useable. Have you ever stolen software in the past? Do you really support theft? I guess I'll ask you again if your car is stolen. Did you know that most 'organisations' that crack software on a grand scale are also involved in drugs, prostitution and other organised crime? Do you support those activities too? To everyone who has ever stolen software before, you are to blame for product activation - so live with the mistakes you have created. Read my earlier posts. I don't WANT to experience the activation scheme. I find it insulting. If it took 5 seconds I would not find it any less so. Also read how I encourage folks to BUY the OS. If I wreck my data by doing so, then thats the risk I readily take. Won't be anyone else's fault but my own. Same as when I overclock my CPU. It's a chance I accept. I will NOT experience the activation process. I don't care if its as easy as getting a glass of water. To me it is insulting and is going to do absolutely nothing to slow down piracy. It's rather all about gaining even more control over the end user than M$ has already. Its a GREAT OS. I encourage everyone to BUY the OS and the crack the WPA. Now I got 4 cents in this conversation heheheh
-
I don't like it. I plan on buying the OS and then cracking the WPA ASAP. I am personally offended by the concept that I have to get permission to use something after I have paid my $$$ for it. I've never thought doing WPA would be all that tough. It is a TERRIBLE idea that will do NOTHING to stop piracy. Just my 2 cents.

2495 seemed to dislike my SB Live 5.1. First build I have ever had a problem with. Did a clean install and installed the updated SB drivers I usually use. Damn thing started BSOD'ing me left and right. Went back to 2486 and all is again well with the world
-
I am using the regular driver from creative's web site and the spdif works perfectly with it. I also have 4 speaker support as well.
-
get either official beta 2 build or later. Later builds have WAY fewer of those going.
-
I own one. 2 actually:my wife has a sb live value in her box. At no time have I EVER had a single problem with either sound card. Games have always worked perfectly. I never have a single lockup and my box doesn't crash. I use my box as a DAW on a daily basis as well. Maybe I have just been very very lucky. I dunno, but all I do is stay with newest drivers from sblive.com I can also say I have not had ANY computer problems at all since XP hit beta 2 and all the leaked builds since. Nope, I not be braggin' here. I am just truly puzzled why so many report so many problems.
-
FF7 and FF8 both work fine in XP, starting at build 2475 and up.
-
2485 is working great here. No driver issues at all. Wish they would slow down with releases hehehe, seems like all I do anymore is run a new beta build through my own unscientific torture test.
-
at a glance, there it seems to be a repeat of beta 2's release notes. I just scanned it but nothing jumped out at me that was noticeably different.
-
Same here. 2475 has been rock solid. I can't seem to make this OS crash...CD's burn fine. Nero is working perfectly and gaming is a breeze. Unless something jumps up and bites me, I may stay with this build till RTM unless something in RC1 or 2 is just too sweet hehehe
-
I'm very impressed with this OS. It's fast, and looks great, win2k with eye candy!!! I will be using it fulltime till rc-1 (hopefully) or rc-2 if all goes well I may skip them till rtm.
-
2474 is running awesomely on my box. I also upgraded my monitor to a 19 incher and EVERYTHING looks so awesome. I am gonna stay with this build till rc-1 comes out. I have 2475 but based on all I have read, there's just not enough difference to expend the time to install it.
-
Any trouble with 2474 ? Like no games running ?!

Playing multiplayer Sacrifice with no problem. CS even works fine for me along with some older games like Final Fantasy 8. Not had a game die on me yet.
