what these retards are trying to say is win2k RC2 and later come with Dx7. The only updates you need for win2k are at the windows update website (the link is on your start menu) and the drivers for sound and video or whatever; that is unless windows installed its own drivers. Then you should only replace them if the new drivers are stable. man i just spilt hot wax on my hand.

what im saying is BeOS will see win2k and you can just use the BeOS bootmenu. they all do the same thing. and you dont have to kludge the win2k bootmenu to make it see BeOS. i was just giving him some options penishead.

did you creat an accound named SOF and make it a member of only power users then right click on the SOF shortcut and select properties and look for a check box that says run as different user check that and then launch SOF and it should ask you for a user name and password then type in SOF and the password and it works great. no need to log off. but you shouldnt be logged in as administrator all the time cause some hacker could run a script to format your HD or other **** only admins can do.

you have to edit the Nvdisp.inf then reinstall the driver. find the section for your geforce card and remove all the refreshrates upto 100 for the resolutions you use openGL apps in. that will fix it.

BeOS if installed onto a BFS partion is a stand alone OS and not a program at all. BeOS5 PE just brought the boot from another OS feature to the front to gain users. if you want you can use the BeOS bootman to boot all your OS and you get that cool BeOS logo too. go into Be and open a terminal window and type bootman. that will launch the GUI boot config that will write to your MBR and make a backup at the same time. for more info or help http://www.betips.net/ i would use BeOS if i didnt play games. its really fast and the Be filesystem rocks! you can even play Mp3s backwards (Be is the only OS i know you can that in)

i saw this in the event viewer: The ring buffer that stores incoming mouse data has overflowed (buffer size is configurable via the registry). after playing the devil inside game which in the front end menu the mouse cursor is always moving down like you were holding the down arrow key to scroll the menu. i.e. sticky key syndrome. now what is the buffer ring size and where in the registry is it? im gonna go look for it now and anyone with an idea please post. this is the worlds greatest DVD website http://dvdpiracy.net/ I use powerDVD 2.55 in win2k pro with a TNT2U and 3.81 drivers works great and getting ready to watch A boy and his dog.

the menu suffers from sticky keys but when i get in the game everything is fine excpet the GFX seem to be fuct up with the walls being see thru. it plays fine tho. i have a TNT2U with the 5.13 drivers and win2k pro 2195 from MSDN.

i read that same article and i changed my win2k partion which is only 1.5gb to NTFS and left my programs and MP3s on a 7gb FAT32 partion. i noticed a large improvement in system proformence. I use diskeeper to defrag and it says 0 file fragments in my FAT32 partion and only 4 temp files on my win2k partion are fragmented. i think its pretty sweet plus the drives being SCSI helps

just back up your data to the IDE and do a clean install. that will be the most shure fire way to do it. but if your lazy try ghost from norton
