I know you don't want to hear this, but it is the board. I had the same problem with my v3 2k. I solved this problem by buying a geforce and now it runs great. If you got the extra cash, it may be a good idea to upgrade anyway. I hope this helped.

I have very very bad sticky keys in Nox when running win2k. The game is unplayable. I am using a Logitech Mouseman Wheel. (USB) I hope you guys can find a cure to this.

I know this has probably been talked about earlier, but i need some serious help here. The sticky keys in this game are outrageous. It makes the game completely unplayable. I was wondering if anyone had these problems? What did you guys do to fix them? Thanks in advance.

I d/l the files and put them in temp directory and ran setup, but setup wouldn't continue because it said that it couldn't locate the files that i d/led. Can anyone help? Has anyone got these to work? thx in advance.

Yes...the 4 lib files and the setup file are all in c:\temp..... any suggestions??? how did you do it??

I am having the same problem. When i go to start a game, whether it be campaign or skirmish, the game will kick me out to Windows. I am running windows 2000, dual cele 400's@450's, 256 mb RAM, V3 2000. someone please help. I think it has something to do with DX7 but i am not sure. Thanks in advance.

Well, it installs fine and i can play all the way up to the second act just before you advance maps. When the icon turns to a little wheel and i try to advance maps, the game kicks me back to desktop and gives me an "assertion" error. Something about "chitin..(some image).." error. Has anyone had this problem playing this under win2k?? please help me if you can. Seldzar, you are a smart guy, what can you make of this? thx guys.

I finally got everything set up perfectly in win2k, but i noticed some bugs in quake 2. Whenever i changed the brightness settings, they wouldn't change. Whenever i start or join a network or internet game, the game crashes and kicks me back out to the desktop. The game also looks a little darker and i can't strafe jump anymore. (quakers will know what this is) Does anyone have this problem??? Can anyone help me??? my system: dual celie 400's oc'ed to 450's v3 2k with official retail win2k drivers 256 mb of ram please help me...action quake 2 is my all time favorite game. thx in advance.

Dear Coroner, Ok, i am not an immature wanker, but i am going to say that you either have one ****ed up machine, or you don't know what you are talking about. Win2k is 22% (actual benchmark) faster, with ALL aplications, than 95,98,or nt4. It runs my games so much smoother than 98. Win2k was made for business, but only because they didn't want to waste the superior NT technology on all of the "end users" at home. They knew that with this operating system, they could make a ton of money off businesses. But, if you noticed, Microsoft did not intend for it to be solely business or they wouldn't have put all the game compatibility in. For instance, DX7 (also upgradeable), hardware support for 3d cards, and many others. They snuck these items in to please us hardcore gamers. They took the best from NT and put it together with the best of 98. It's superior technology, a step forward in the computer industry, and just a damn amazing platform. Now, you tell me, which one would you rather have? Now, i know there are some in-compatibilities right now, but don't worry, they will come. Nothing is perfect....especially right away. If you want the best performance for your machine, i would NOT switch back to 98. Workstation, Home machine, who gives a sh*t about titles. I go by what i see, and 98 doesn't even compare. This isn't a flame war, just trying to get the facts straight. I also know how you feel though, and i agree that he in-compatibility with some stuff is really annoying.....but, i know that microsoft has anticipated that. It will come man....don't worry. Just for some info on my situation...I got Q3, Q2, starcraft, Soldier of Fortune, Halflife, Heretic 2, HOMM3, Unreal Tournament, and Homeworld all to work. Hope this clears any doubts up.

Hey eddie, just out of curiosity, how did you get your celery's to run 500 mhz???? i have the same system as you. (motherboard and procs) I have mine at 450. What kind of cooling do you use?
