I have this same problem.. MX300 anyone got any other Ideas/solutions than those listed here? I've read all Armada topics here, and nothings helped.. ..

What's the best modem for use with win2k and win98? I run a dual boot, and since I reinstalled win98se, my current modem(LT winmodem OEM from an IBM), locks my 98SE when I(or it) restart(s). Normally I wouldn't really care, but I get different performace depending on the OS, 2k pings better, but 98se get better d/l speeds. any input in helpful. Thanks Woodlet

I have this problem as well.. But mines only on Shutdown.. and only NTosKrnl...

I ran dxdiag, and it told me that 1) it couldn't run advanced driver tests 2) I have dx5 installed on my machine! how'd that happen? what's up with that? anyone got any Ideas? anyone got dx7 full setup that they could e-mail me? ssawoody@earthlink.net Thanks!

we.. that's what the DX diag says.. I start up that, and on the front page it says Direct X version: 5.0 I was like WTF?! I knew 7 installs with win2k..but that friggin sucks ass! Ra won't stare because of a MSVCRT.dll error(think that's the Dll). Could the two be related somehow?

I Installed office2k, and with it the picture editor.. and when I went to open a pic, it opened in that instead of IE, like I want it to, so I uninstall pic editor, and try to open again.. it wants a file association.. I give it IE.. but it opens a new window every time.. and when I select thumnails in windows explorer, it don't show actual thumbs anymore.. how can I set it so that I can see thumbs of the pics in windows explorer, and so that they all open in the same windows in IE? It's called a reinstall.. lol.. was going to install a 98 dual boot, so I figured I'd do a full reinstall anyway..

Where can one get a Beta copy of ME? From MS I mean.. ; )

Make sure that EVERYTHING is closed when you try and do this.. there's also something I had to ctrl-alt-del and get rid of in the system process to get it to work.. something starting with an E, and it was tabbed over as well. I'm stil running into problems myself, as I can't get it to run once it's installed.. I get an MCVCRT.dll error about it being incompatible with win32s. any Ideas?

I just tried this, and it didn't work for me.. I get the "Windows 5.0 is running, this program require win95 to run" type message. anyone got clues what I might be doing wrong? ah well..still means I have to install 98 or ME, I want to play the originals.. lol I think I may play RA in 2k thou..

Mark, I did the EXACT same thing, I bought the Logitech Wireless. To bad the keyboard software don't work in win2k.. wish they'd release a 2k compatible version, so I can customize my buttons..

i've noticd the same problem, and I think it's just incompatible with 2k. Maybe if we post enought to WEstwood, they'll release a patch or something. we'll have to copy CD to HD, but that's okay..

Andy, didn't you get the error message saying you had to create a FAT boot sector? I keep getting that message when I try to do it.. am I doing something wrong? I'm trying to install 98SE to D(FAT32), with 2k on C(NTFS). I keep getting that error about NTFS. you want to know exactly which one, search for NTFS in the setup.txt file in the win98 folder of your setup disk cor 98. I'm gonna try formatting the D as fat, not fat32, and see if that helps. Unfortunatly, I have a 95 boot disk. Can I create a 98se boot disk from the 98se cd? Thanks

Okay me MS intellimouse-optical Logitech Cordless Keyboard(w/those quick access keys) AMDk63-400 on a Epox MVP3g-m 128 PC133 ram 20GB IBM HD Mx300 V3 2000 AGP I have no problems with Tribes(someone said they did) I do have problems with my keyboard not responding to mapped keys when in MW3. I hit Alt-Tab or C-A-D and go back into the game and it's fine..length of time before it happens again varies.

I have a M$ percision pro with USB adaper plugged in, and it seems to work fine. I'm using a Logitech wireless keyboard and M$ intellimouse w/intellieye.

Anyone know how to get C&C and C&C Red Alert running in 2k? I'd like to know how to get it running as well. I really don't want to have to setup a dual boot just so I can play my favorite games

Anyone know if the software installs correctly and works and all in Nt4? I've not had any luck, wondering if anyone has had some.
