About a week ago i added 128 sdram in my box and now i'm with 224 mb ram. Very oddly about the same time (i, honestly am not sure exactly before or after) i started getting random hard locks and some pixels distortion. I ran SIMMTESTER's DOCmemory and in 64 loops it found zero problems. So i figured out it must be video card problem so i plugged in a new AGP TNT2 32MB from Pine on Friday. The problem is that yesterday night another hard lock occured! Any ideas (memory, video or both can cause hard locks?)? Abit BH6 rev1.0 latest BIOS/setup defaults -ACPI enabled Pine M64 Riva tnt2 w/ 32mb @ AGP +latest official detonator 6.31 drivers (which i also used before w/ my canopus spectra 2500tnt with zero probs) dimm1: 32mbsdram/100 , dimm2:64, dimm3:128 P.S. I never had any hard-lock before thanks in advance + sorry for the long post

i' m having problems connecting my HP omnibook xe3 laptop via its infrared port with my siemens s35. I've enabled infrared in bios and set it to FIR mode, win2k recognises my Siemens ("Siemens s35 in range", it says), switched my siemns to infrared mode, in the dial-up connection i've made i've selected the irDA modem (irc link) but when i try to connect i' m getting this answer: "the remote computer rejected the conncetion attempt" Anyone could help me on this one? Thanks in advance [This message has been edited by 5t3ph3n (edited 05 December 2000).]

innoculateIT last version scans e-mail attachments via real-time-protection. Overall it's the best anti-virus program in my opinion...

Lower internet security from high to medium and everything will be fine!

here is the situation: When i download something quickly (for me)(e.g. >5kb/s) and at the same time trying to open a page with many pictures almost half of the pictures don't open (an "x" insted). If i stop the download and i only refresh the page, the pictures open just fine. Same thing is happening with ie5.01sp1 AND ie5.5final. I'm using Win2k SP1. Anyone having the same problem or any ideas? Thanx!

yes! it's a known problem... WMP7 final makes directCd report no compatible CDRW (and other problems also). you should uninstall wmp7 and i suppose(?) you'll be alright again
