which driver are you using?

I heard that you need 6.xx driver to play fifa 2001 under W2K. I have creative GEforce 2 and using their 5.xx driver, I'll also crash back to windows after 1 game. Very nice game btw, much much better than previous ones imho.

Dont have Althon, but my Celeron 550 smokes my friend's p3 700, why, I have a CLAP 2 while he has a TNT2. so your p3 smokes your friend's althon makes no sense at all. you have to compare both cpu with same setup like same amount of ram, video card etc etc. btw, no need to reply, not here to start an athlon/p3 discussion, since i don't have both, period.

Althon is faster than P3, some hardware site even point out an AMD Duron 900 is faster than the P3 1Ghz

Have the CLAP2 with Abit BP6 dual booting W2K/W98, can't run at AGP 2x without 3d games crashing, but AGP 1x ok. other than this everything works fine in W2K with latest driver from Creative (5.30 for W2k)

Is Monday offical or just rumours? Haven't find anywhere at microsoft.com!

Try setting it to AGP 1x , it solve my lock up with BP6 and CLA 2

I own both a Geforce 2 and a G400 Max, to be honest both have their good and bad on drivers. It all depends on your system, if you are using K7, Geforce drivers works better than G400. Btw let me say something neutral, when G400 was out it did has problems with its driver (lots of them if I may say) but they do improve over the past year. So I do think Geforce driver will do the same. Shame is that by the time the drivers are stable, the cards are already too old.

Check out the forum at www.2cpu.com heard there are problems with the tiger 133 with dual cpu, you need to ask tyan to exchange your tiger 133 to an Rev. F version.

Try to install latest agp driver from via.com.tw. The only 3d card I found which run flawlessly with super 7 motherboard is from ATI or 3dfx. Matrox and Nivida have loads of problem. BTW, most DVD drive don't support DMA, you can try enabling it but if you have problem disable it. Check your DVD drive manufacturer if it has any driver for DMA mode.

The AMD K6 series don't support SMP, but the T-Bird and Duron do, you have to wait for a dual motherboard for them which should be out by Q4/2000.

I can't get any 3d games to work at AGP 2X without crashing same with Win98 any ideas? AGP 1x ok with all 3d games AGP 2X ok only with 2d applications.

can't play Euro 2000 with 5.17, the players are all black shadows went back to 3.84 btw some 3.xx won't let be play this game in 800x600, 3.84 seems steady.
