For G400 don't use 5.03, use 5.04, most games are pretty fast with 5.04 driver

I am unable to get the above combo to work with any bios except QQ beta 01 but still it is not stable. the problem is , geforce driver refuses to load upon boot up, it hang. anyone with above combo that can get them to work under w2k/win98 please tell me which bios, driver etc to us, TIA

It is a 1.0 board and it was working alright with a Matrox G400

anyone? anyone has this combo and working, please tell me which driver bios version, I am having hard time getting them to work.

Any software that works with W2K to overclock TNT2, tntclk and performance tuner don't work and I don't want to install powerstrip

copy *.exe from your cd root to the game directory (yes to overwrite) and you are ok. but I can only play at 640x480

Frog Master, if you have a geforce and Promise fasttrack 66 don't flash to RU, otherwise either your promise fasttrack will disappear or your geforce driver won't load.

I have two files, one is a mpg and the other a dat both video files, they are both slightly larger than a 80min cd, tried winzip, still larger. is there a way I could change them to some other format that can be saved in a cdr plus not losing the image quality?

same here, I have the real CD, but it won't run until someone told me that I need to install the no cd patch. Now it works ok.

Dear all, I have a single head Matrox G400 right now, just received a non ddr GEforce 256 based card as a gift(http://www.powercolor.com.tw) brand name is Power Color wondering should I keep the gift or the G400? comments are wellcome.

not wise, simply getting used to life cycle of video card is no more than 6 months. How long has geforce introduced, now you can buy the geforce 2. price of video card is getting more and more expensive and I hated that.

Thanks for the kind comment, but you see, 1st I may not be able to sell the SDR geforce anywhere near the full amount, since others will consider it as a used card, so even if I sell both card I may not be able to have enough for a DDR, the cheapest here is the ASUS 6800 PURE, but I rather save that money for a few cases of beer instead. 2nd, I don't play that many 3D games and most of all not many are written for 32 bit, so I think I am better off with the SDR for now at least. that was also the reason I didn't get the G400max and go for the G400 instead. Finally, worse come to worse, I can overclock this SDR, you can't believe that this baby can run at 155/190 for an hour before it crashed. no problem at 150/185.

I heard you need stable 3.3v for the AGP port in order for geforce card to work stable, at least my non ddr card's manual has a warning about this in the 1st page.

HI, after reading the replies, decided to give the geforce a try, wow, 2D is comparable to my G400 but 3D simply smokes the G400, Quake 3 Arena and Rogue Spear simply run much smoother, most of all the ocassional white lines that appear in both games with the G400 is gone. As for selling both for a DDR, don't think I will, for the power color is the cheapest in town, but the bundle is nice, 2 full games + winDVD + TV out for only $300 Canadian (tax included) around US$200, if I sold both I may buy a ddr but I rather sell the G400 and keep the money :-) for I may not feel the speed increase in my dual Celeron @550, care to comment, anyone?

If that is true it will be very good because it will be time for me to upgrade my abit bp6 366@550 next year. I love to have amd dual setup.

oh fogot 1 thing, try reflashing the bios with bios cacheable disabled and after the flash, turn off power (pull cord from power source) and hardware clear cmos. (read manual)

the known problem is within the bios, if you want more info to resolve it, try contacting Abit, I think they will be delighted that you can solve something that their tech can't do. good try for applying a job for Abit, IMHO. Good luck on your quest :-)

The QQ final bios has know problems and had been withdrawn from abit web page, use the QQ-01 beta which is still available at abit ftp site and wait for new bios. btw qq-01 is by far working flawlessly with W2K and most stable of all bios
