don't think is sblive driver, default and dell's driver still freeze. maybe something to do with dual boot (mix of ntfs and fat32 in box), I don't recall (not 100% sure) when I had only W2K in the box (all drives ntfs formatted) nitetime, does this ring a bell?

no athlon and no geforce or tnt and it still freeze sometimes

I have Abit BP6 with dual Celeron @550 (sticky key happens even if I clock it at default @366) Matrox G400 (previously a TNT2 16 MB) mouse and sound card same as yours. 256 mb ram

oh i am sorry if i offended you.
-
I am not surprise as most tech support are not familiar with W2K yet, how can they give you support?
-
SHS, I agree with your list, especially on the "Damn good ATI DVD", i have a AMD K6-300 (not k6-2) 64 meg ram machine with an ATI fury, DVD playing is very smooth and good. Tried an TNT2 and G400 on that box, DVD playing was no where near as good.

no offense, but y do u have to install a hacked livewire2000 while the real thing is going to release in about 2 weeks time and there is a dell one that go between? IMHO, what if you have to uninstall and clean up manually for the hacked livewire 2000 files, I really don't trouble is worth it especailly the real thing release date is so close. No offense to the poster of the hacked livewire 2000, I know u have every good intention to help others.

some report it also happens in ut and quake, but RS is most common.

Matrox has (to my surprise) solid W2K driver for their G400, other than Matrox, Nivida has solid driver too.

get tweak UI for W2K and set the power option to power off instead of reboot -
Looks like both Westwood and Red Storm is right, it is related to Directx, so we may have to wait for an update.

btw, do try the lastest logitech mouseware to see if it fixes it. it just came out yesterday.

there is nothing much you can do, increasing the sample rate helps but problem still there, that is the only reason I reinstall win98 in my box. hoping ms will make this game compatible with w2k in their next game compatible updates from windows updates. please post if you find a fix. meanwhile good shooting

does it work ok with Rogue spear or other games with sticky keys?
-
Seldzar, well said, from what i've heard, there are still people out there think W2K is a W98 upgrade, no it is not, it is actually a NT 4.0 upgrade, if you are not familiar with NT, upgrading to NT from Win98 needs lots of adjustment and learning. Since You can't play much games under NT 4.0 why would you expect every game will work under W2K, simply it has Direct X, you are wrong, NT core is different from Win98's core. give it time, once all the hardware and software company has finished thier drivers + patches, I think W2K will be a very good business + gaming O/S but for those who don't know much about NT it will still be a pain to upgrade from win98. good luck.

W2K may not be as good as win98 (for games) but once the driver and bugs are fixed, I can't see y win98 is still needed in my box. after 2 hours of Rogue Spear multiplay in the net, I need to reboot 98 otherwise it will crash. good old 98? I would prefer good old 98's reboot.

I have this problem too, but finally pin down to it is Motherboard Monitor 4.13 related. It seems that whenever I had Motherboard Monitor 4.13 on the background, my mouse + keyboard will sooner or later stopped, but I can still hear the mp3 i am playing and downloading still running etc.

Is EAX support In Rogue Spear automatic? do i have to turn on some option to have EAX support with sblive?
-
if you have installed the hacked livewire 3 in your box, you have to clean them up 1st
-
Let's make clear one thing, dual doesn't mean you get 2x performance even your hardware drivers support SMP, dual means 2x (maybe more) more stable and if you do a lot of multi tasking like i do, you will appreciate dual.
