BP6, QQ bios, acpi mutiprocessor hal, 1.4 enabled, no problem with dell's sblive. do you have the hacked live wire 3 installed prior to installing the dell's driver?
-
so If i have livewire, it will turn on automatically?? right?
-
MS has released a few updates at their window updates including better support for entertainment (games)
-
btw, is eax enable automatically when u have the sblive or you have to enable something in option to get eax support with Rogue spear?
-
setting ps/2 mouse rate to 200 helps reduces it but don't fix it.
-
I heard that by turning the sound level in the sblive mixer in launcher all the way up fixed the choppy sound. since I don't have UT, no way I can confirm.
-
murlin, you have to update your sblive basic wdm driver to the new one before u install livewire 1 otherwise the software will report can't find the hardware
-
don't see much problem except win2000 will not detect your g400 as g400 it will detect it as a standard vga card, but you can update that driver to g400 w2k beta driver. my zoom isa modem was detected as unknown modem but it works.
-
did you goto control panel / system / hardware and choose sound blaster live (basic) WDM and update that driver with the inf? it works fine with my box
-
by increasing the ps/2 sample rate to 200 helps but don't fix it totally.
-
your link doesn't work
-
Does anyone else get a buzzing sound with MX300

this is normal as stated in Diamond web site, it will be fix when they release their w2k driver -
I have the BP6 too, but never get Livewire 3 to install. anyway dell ftp is very busy now, hope to hear more tomorrow when others got this little software.
-
I should consider myself lucky the only creative product in my box is the sblive value
-
looks like sticky key is related to video card driver, I have this problem with Rogue spear and TNT2 or G400
-
Mr. Yellow, If livewire 3 works with Dell's WDM driver, dell would have release livewire 3 instead of livewire 1.
-
no offense, what if after the wait, it is still the same driver and software but works with other live board. to be honest, I don't think it will take that long to release something like dell's to work with all live boards. provided Dell has already spent b4 hand to release what we got today.
-
check windows updates, MS has a few updates for W2K including better game support
-
Thanks for the information. just did the updates. I think now for all those hardware+software manufacturers who don't take W2K seriously should reconsider.
-
LOL, I agree with you, this really makes Creative looks kind of ugly.
-
After I updated the Sound blaster live basic (WDM) driver with the upddrv2k.inf, I installed the livewire 1.0 and it works, 4 speakers support works with my Abit BP6 download them now before site got too busy, you can find more details by reading this threat "Dell win2k drivers" one thing i don't understand is why dell can come up a livewire 1.0 for w2k while Creative has to wait till mid march to release its 1.0 ??
-
Philipp, Thanks a lot, now I got 4 speakers support, one thing I don't understand is, why an oem manufacturer like Dell can come up with livewire 1.0 for W2K and Creative has to wait till march to release its own version 1 for W2K?
-
Doesn't work for me, it installed the program but it said i don't have a sound blaster live :-( btw my sound card is a sb live value
-
Downloading them right now, hopefully at least 4 speakers support. Will report asa i installed them

Should I disable or enable this in bios for W2K? I know under NT 4.0 if enable this function will casue file transfer error TIA
