Just put the Nvidia 5.16 drivers on my system, for my CL TNT2 Ultra. RUnning win2k. Now when I try running Half life, I get "Half Life requirers 16 bit color. Please set desktop to this...." No idea why I get this. Desktop is in 32bit. I have played this game many times with 32 bit desktop. ANy ideas? Even setting it to 16 bit doesnt work.

Running a celeron 366 oc'ed to 550 NEVER happened before these 5.16 drivers went on. Very strange

Windows 2000 pro 5.16 nividia drivers creative labs tnt2 ultra setting for open gl in display properties: Only 2 with "x's" are Enable buffer reginon and allow the dual planes extensions to use local video memory. Default color depth for textures: use desktop Buffer flipping mode: auto select Vertical sync: on by default Use 5 megs of system memory for textures in PCI mode.

My half life dont work either with these new dreiveers. Try loading game, says it requires 16 bit desktop. My desktop is at 32bit, anduse to work.. When I change to 16 bit, same thing Any Ideas?

When trying to install SP1 beta, i get RPC Server is unavailable...and wont install it Anyone shed some light on how I can fix this? Thanks

I dont know about others, but this is the biggest upset in win2k. No matter how many times i cleanformat and clean install, i eventaully get these erorrs. Today, I had 3 ftp prorgrams open, mirc, and left my computer for an hour , came back, and had the ntkernel bluescreen, causing me to reboot. What is this file/ Why do these errors happen? I have a TNT2 Ultra, with 3.78 nvidia drives Trying to play Halflife online, when I have it set to D3d , 1024, it freezes. Software mode, ti works fine. ANy idea why this is?
