    HP 8100i and Win2k Build 2195

Start by uninstalling all burning programs. Then install Adaptec Easy CD 4.0 ONLY (Do not install Direct CD yet), Then go to www.adaptec.com and find the newest release of the aspi drivers. Install and reboot. Then install CDRWin (I use 3.7f)Reboot again . Explore the Easy CD 4 disk and find the Direct CD folder , install it from the folder . Reboot and all should work. I installed Nascar3 and it won't even play. It shows the 3DFX splash and kicks back to the desktop.

Nascar3, kicks back to the desktop.

I have tried to run Nascar3 in Win2K 2195. When it starts, it plays the #dfx splash and then kicks back to the desktop. This is on a P3 500, 160meg ram, Voodoo3 2000, SBLive X-gamers. I think it may have something to do with the glide driver. Any ideas ?

No "Force" with MS FF Wheel, PLEASE HELP !

It is detected as an MS Sidewinder Force Feed Back Wheel. But in the properties there are no force settings. The wheel is like a non-force wheel.

Install liveware and 4 speakers on Live! ?

Hey Brody, If you were smart, you would wait for SB to release drivers and Liveware for Win2K. Unplug the rear speaker jack on the subwoofer from the sound card and you should have 4 speakers working. (FPS1000)

I hate companies that make scanners!!

I have an HP Scanjet 5p , it is supposed to work in Win2K. It uses a Symbios Logic SCSI card that is not Win2K compatible. HP directed me to a site that has SCSI cards for it but I decided on an Adaptec SCSI card that is compatible. Hopefully the scanner will work then. Most HP scanners are listed on the HCL for Win2K. I think they put them on the list for fun. Good Luck. ThrustMaster NASCAR Pro Wheel

Go into the Joystick panel in Windows and go with "Custom" and set it up that way. Or double check your Joystick port in the device manager and make sure it has drivers installed.

    NTFS Question

Again, Thanks YuppieScum. I am all windows 2000. I was dual booting but after staying in 2000 for a week , 98 seemed so sloooow. Now all I need is a few Win2K drivers and a new SCSI for my scanner and I will be good to go.

    Cambridge Sound Works FourPointSurround 2000

I have the FPS1000 , I unplugged the rear speaker jack coming from the sound card (SBLive) and I now get sound from all four speakers. There are "NO FIXES" for SBLive and Liveware until Creative releases new drivers. Which won't be until after Win2000 is officially released for retail purchase. I have tried all of the "so called" hacked drivers and I have spent counless hours trying to get sound back. Yes, I completely lost sound but everything showed OK. So do not try these so called fixes unless you are looking for a huge incurable headache. Look at the post from "Mr.ThickDick, he has also tried.
