OK , I have tried all the SBLive fixes with no luck. Now I am stuck with no sound at all. Can someone please tell me how to get the Win2000 drivers back. I will live with 2 speakers until Creative get's new drivers out. [This message has been edited by NascarFool (edited 11 January 2000).]

Reinstalled Win2K as an upgrade. All sound now restored. I will live with two speakers until Creative gets off their a** and gets out some drivers.

I used the "Anthony Toste" job too. Same damned results, no sound. The only way I got the sound back was by installing Win2000 as an upgrade. I will live with two speakers until Sound Blaster releases new drivers. I know how you feel Mr.TD.

I tried that and Win2K said it couldn't find any drivers for it. If someone were to check the driver details in the Device Manager , I should be able to extract them from the Win2K CD. Thanks. Boy do I feel stupid. Quake3 just ain't the same with no sound. LOL

Will drivers be available >soon ? Carl, Creative Labs does not currently have any support for Windows 2000. Such support, including driver releases, will most likely not be made available until the operating system has been officially released as a retail operating system to stores. As a result, I have no information on the operating system or functionality of our products in that OS. The only thing which I can recommend would be to periodically, like once every couple weeks, check the Creative Labs website in the Support > Download Files section which will most likely contain any updated drivers that are released. I couldn't get anything downloaded from your page. I got the dreaded "Page cannot be displayed" warning. I'll try again later.

I have an HP Pavilion 8380 , I have tried all the posted "fixes" for SBLive with no luck at all. Anyone have any sure fixes ? Also , in Win98 when I clicked on shutdown, my comp would completely shut off by itself. In Win2000, I have to shut it off when it gets to the "safe to shut off" window. Any fixes for this ?
