Well, then im a dumb one :io) My version is about 366 megs compressed.. Got it too from a ftp site.. but beside this, its the iso one... so i just uncompressed it and then burned it on cd.. Easy way.. got the cd.. and the final release..what asking for more ? )

I was using Warftpd .. but im now with G6 ftp server... Works great.. You should give it a try..

I just installed win2k 2195 .. And i do use Winpoet.. i hate thoses bastard from sympatico support.. We dont support Win2k.. Well, what do i do now ? .. so im using winpoet 2.0.. and dont have any message bothering me with Shareware time or something like that.. Anyway, i missed my cable modem, didnt have to use ****ty software to get on the internet.. Its just a waste of time..

Well guys.. i use Netscape for news.. no probs at all.. and if i format or re-install my os.. i dont have to look for my files.. i just copy my netscape dir.. and everything is fine.. Why wasting time with something ? use netscape .. faster than ever !

If i can give you a tips.. when you need to know something about .dll .drv or others.. just do a search in the registry .. In most case you're gonna get your answer..

Ya he's right .. Don't install protocol you don't need.. jsut choose the one you'll need.. I always used Ipx and Tcp/ip.. Works ok.. no prob with 95/98/nt .. Or maybe, just install Tcp/ip, and give your network card static ip.. like 192.168.0.1 .. faster in some cases.

Hmmm Adaptec cd creator works under win2k.. Got lot of blank cd with cdrwin 3.8.. so im now back to my 3.7 version..

Well, you're right guys.. but dont forget that you must have a fat 32 partition available.. Dont try to put a dual boot win98 and win2k, nt on a NTFAT partition.. ) So tell me if im wrong, but there's no way to get win98 and nt in dual boot unless you have a primary fat32 partition.. Or maybe use the active mode partition.. But the big problem with active partition, is that you can just access stuff from the active partition..

Well, i think its a waste of time.. therE's already a lot of channels, on undernet,efnet and dalnet.. Just do a search under windows and you're gonna get plenty of channel talking about release of windows 2000..bugs ,patch and anything you're looking for..

Well, maybe try to get a no-cd patch or something.. i never got that problem with my version of diablo.. And btw , check if you got the latest update of diablo.. i think there's 2 update you can get..

I tried the Icq 2000, and everytime i started it, the prog keeps crashing.. tried to shutdown Drwatson, and everything were fine after.. but can not connect to the icq network.. geeezzzz ! ------ If you dont want to lose your stuff when you're formatting , then try this, if you have more than 1 partition, just copy your icq dir to your second partition, and after re-installating windows, just copy your icq dir to his original location before installation icq. See you l8r.

Hey guys ! I got win2k pro final here, and wasn't able to play my favorite game with my voodoo 2.. So there's what i did.. Before installing Win2k , i used regedit and i export the key refering to Nhl2k .. You cant miss it, therE's only one. I export it in a file, whatever the name. Then i install Win2k , i use 3 partitions, so i just formatted my primary partition and the game is on the second one. D : I just put the nhl2k cd in, and double click the file i exported.. and that's it.. everything is fine.. i got my favorite game back on track. ---------------------- If you have to re-install nhl2k, then after installing it, just double click your reg. file, and your game will be ok. Don't try to run the 3dsetup again.. and if you change your 3d card.. then good luck )
