Hi ppl! When I move icons on my WinXP-system they look like they have been raped by an alien. =((( Look at the image below: Any1 know why it's like this? My spec: Asus K7V MOBO Amd Athlon 750 ASUS Geforce 1, V6800 Deluxe 768 Mb RAM and some other stufs that should not interfer with this... I installed XP first. Then latest VIA-drvers for XP. Then latest DetonatorXO drivers and after that aeverything else. Thanx in advance folks!

Quote: Have u tied a diff version of Det's? Nopes... Guess I'll have to do that... Hmm... I'll get back when it's done! =)
-
Nothing like that... Only DetonatorXP drivers...
-
Nah... I don't belive in that... Must be software related... Would happen on 2k also otherwise... On my borthers computer there is a similar problem. The text to the icon jumps sideways when grabing it and draging it... Strange ****. But hey... MS is strange ****! Best viewd and used after some pot!
-
So no1 has a clue...?
-
Muahahahah! =) That was funny! =))) Didn't know there was a user called Alien here... Hehehe... =)

Having a strange problem. A friend installed Win2k on his computer (specc at the end). With Win2k he gets slower downloads on his boradband then in 98 and MW. We even tried to hook my computer up on the broadband with the same results (My is runnin Win2k). How is this possible!?!? Wer're talking about a 30k/sec loss in speed at downloading so it ain't a little loss were talkin about. Any1 have any theory or anything that might help??? This is the comp: You have received a message! 128 mb sdram pc133 memory athlon 700 20 gb hdd udma 66 30 gb hdd udma 33 geforce 2 mx (ino3d tornado) M7MKE mobo Via built in Sound on mobo
-
Hmm... COuld it be that ME and 2k are measuring the speed from two diffrent locations...? One from card to HD and one the incoming speed in the card...?
-
Well.. Runnin SP1 since the start. Still the same result... Could it be the ISP that has something faulty at their end...???
-
You are having the same prob as me! D3D gamez freezez... I posted it here: Geforce and AsusK7V problem I dunno what kinda card that is but try to disable AGP 4x if that is an option.
-
You have a five year warranty on that one. =) Let em fix it. =) Gått nytt år på dig glade svensk!

First of all... Merry X-Mas folks! =) Now to the trouble. I have problem with Hitman freezin totaly on my Win2000 config. Its a AMD 750 on Asus K7V with a Asus 6800Dlx GeforceDDR. Some1 told me to turn AGP 4x off in bios but the thing is... It ain't called AGP 4x... =( I have something called AGP 4x strength and when setting that one on <MANUAL> instead of <AUTO> i get some more settings to fool around with and that is AGP Drive strength P ctrl and AGP Drive Strenght N ctrl. Both those can be set from 0 up to F. I have no clue what they do or so... So maybe some1 of you can help me? Is that the ones to fool with if i want to turn AGP4x off...?! Hilfe!
-
Dosn't help with that patch... Gona test that powerstrip.. Thnx! =)
-
Oki... But then back to the problem... How do i turn AGP 4x off in bios on Asus K7V? Don't tell me to RTFM couse if you read above I have done it...
-
No bsods here. No infact... Pretty stabl in W2k. It's just this with D3D but that seems to be a common Geforce problem... Or...?
-
Comeon lads... Some1 have to know SOMETHING! Why is AgP4 so unstable btw...? Heard of some ppl with WinME that had loads f crashes in D3D when having it on.,..

The onboard "soundcard" is Yamaha. Atleast you get a Yamaha certificate with the mobo. =) And Yamaha drivers to it to... And yes... There are both plugs on it. There always are. And I had no probs what so ever with it. Or yeah I had. But that was before VIA released the new 4in1 drivers. If you install those Via 4in1 (4.23 or above, found at www.via.com.tw)drivers BEFORE you install anything else you should be ok. =)
-
Yo boys! I know this ain't Win2k related but I know many of you have tested the WinME final so I'll give it a shot anyways! =) Well... Installed the final ME version and my G400 DualHead dosn't work. It installs but every time I reboot i get the BSOD with the following msg: Filename: VMM(01) + 0000C0C1 Error : 0e : 0028 : C000D0C1 I have tried ALL the available drivers... First i thought that it was Powerdesk that screwed up so i installed the drivers without it. But still the same thing... (and a kinda f**ked up Desktop =)). I do wonder if it's something with my combination of hardware that could be screwing up? The gfxcard is sitting in a ABIT Vt6x4 with a P3 on it. Also 256 mb PC133 memory... Maybe some1 of you haxxors recognize the problem and could maybe help me out. Yeah, I know... The guys at Matrox will not support the OS until it's in the stores yada yada yada... =) But I lay my trust to those other users of the forum. I know the skills are out there... So let's see if you can figure out a solution. =)

Morning Inferno!=) I would keep the SB. I have the smae MOBO but I ain't using the onboard sound. Dunno the quality of it though since i never tested it. I asked the same question that u are asking now b4 i bought the MOBO and ppl said that I should buy the SB Live and use that instead. That since "on board sound" is never as good... =) Hope that helped ya =)
-
will that help? Hmm... How do i disable it? =) Tear the secon port off from the card? =))) Hehehe... No, seriously, how do i disable it?
-
The problem is solved. Sony mailed me a beta driver that wrked... So if any1 have trouble, mail me and i send the file for the burner i meantioned above... =)
-
Yep there is... It won't wrk at all...=/ As soon as you reboot after installing drivers to it it will crash. Atleast for me. I have reinstalled 5 times. And tried loads of diffrent drivers... Betas, latest, certified, older... You name it... All with the same prob. And MAtrox won't do whit they say. Not until it's out on the shells... Damn loosers!
-
Dunno if I'm out cycling now... But i had the same problem. It occured in both EzCd and CdrWin. I removed all burning prg's and reinstalled them. After that it worked. Some1 said something about ASPI drivers ****ing up... Dunno if that's the fault but thought it might be useful information for you guys =)
-
Well... I must say.... WinME is the same **** as earlier releases. Kinda sad to that my Matrox G400 won't wrk in it... =/ And a shame they removed the backup function...
-
I wonder... I have a CRX120Eu-RP but it complains about USB Mass Storage Device when i try to install it. The one it tries to install is from the lacie group... =/ Dosn't get it to wrk! DAMN!
