Thanks, I posted a message there so I will see if I get a reply. I have the latest BIOS update for my Asus P5A so I don't think that would be the problem.

I am trying to get my IntelliMouse Explorer to work with USB but when I plug it into the USB port it goes through its hardware detection and then says that there was an error. If I go into the device manager it shows the yellow '?' next to USB Device and under properties it says that the drivers are not installed. I already have the Intelli Point software installed for it. I have an Asus P5A with AMD k6/2 500. I am forced to run the mouse with the PS/2 adapter. I really want to get it working with USB so any ideas?

ok. I was just wondering if its worth the trouble to go back and do a clean install or not. Maybe I'll go back and do that once I buy the retail version of it.

Not sure if this topic has been addressed before or not. Just wondering if you lose any stablilty upgrading Windows98 vs. doing a clean install of Win2000.

How do I found out if I have 2195.1 or 2195.3? When I boot into safe mode it just says 2195 FREE and when I do a winver I just get Windows 5 (Build 2195)

Actually It starts the setup program but it hangs after the little screen that says "Setup is preparing the installshield wizard that will guide you through the rest of the process" or whatever it says. I end up having to go into Task Manager and killing the setup.exe process.

I am also trying to get my SB Live working properly in Win2k. I downloaded the liveware32.zip file and started following the instructions but when I try to run the wntdrv.exe from Creative's website it unpacks the files and then doesn't do anything.

Thanks everybody.

I want to get the extra two buttons working on my MS IntelliMouse Explorer mouse but it won't let me install the IntelliPoint software for it saying I need Win9x, or NT 4.0 to install it. Any Ideas?
