who got the TVout w/ the latest asus's drivers?

I can't get 6600 TV Out to work as well. Actually, TV Out option didn't exist in the Display List. I've posted a similar question about a week ago and I was told this beta release doesn't support TV-Out. Simon
  2. I installed Asus 3.76 Beta 1 6600 Driver yesterday but I couldn't get TV Out to work. Is this normal? The TV Tab is in the Display Properties, but it's grayed out. I just wanted to know if it's normal. Other than that, everything else seems to work fine. Thanks Simon

Asus Beta 2K driver (6600), no TV OUT?

Thanks for the reply. I do have a permanent connection to the back of the TV and when I switch to Win98 partition, I can use TV-Out. Maybe it's beta driver, therefore, TV-Out is not implemented yet. It'd be nice though since if I can get TV-Out to work in Win2k, then I can get rid of Win98 partition. Thanks again Simon
  4. Hi, I installed Win2K Pro about a week ago on top of Win98. I made another partition for Win2K and everything was working fine until an hour ago. I tried to boot to Win98 from the BOOTMENU, however, after I press ENTER from the menu, I got "SYSTEM FILES NOT FOUND, REPLACE THE DISK AND CONTINUE". I can still boot to Win2K no problem, but I want Win98 back. Any ideas how to bring 98 back? Thanks a lot Simon

    Dual boot between Win2K & 98 doesn't work anymore

I found the solution from MS Support Site. Well, I wasn't aware DEFRAG from Win98 would damage the Win2k Boot Sector. That's what exactly happened to me, I ran DEFRAG from WIN98 and defrag WIN98 partition. Anyway, the fix to my problem is to use a DOS/WINDOWS bootable floppy and SYS C: at the prompt. This will enable back the Win98 portion. But using SYS C: will destroy Win2k partition, so you need to pop in the Win2k CD and select "R" to repair ONLY "NT Boot Sector". You need not to repair anything else. After it's done, you should be able to boot to either Win98 or Win2k partition without any difficulties. Simon

    Dual boot between Win2K & 98 doesn't work anymore

Yes, I used PartitionMagic to create the partition. I originally had only one partition with Win98. Then I used PartitionMagic to make 2 additional partition - FAT32 for Win2K and FAT32 for a common drive used between the 2 Operating Systems. When I installed Win2K, I selected to use the empty partition that PM created. Then I format it to NTFS (I couldn't do it with PM). Everything was working just nicely but today I'm getting the errors. Thanks Simon

    Adaptec DirectCD 2.5/3.0?

Guys, thanks for the information. I'm having a problem running Easy CD 4.0. I can't make copy of any CDs. I always get the function is not supported in your recorder. Well, I have a HP8100I and I know it's supported. I tried to burn at 1X, 2X, 4X, no success so far. I got the latest ASPI layer from Adaptec and I used the checking utility to make sure the ASPI is working properly. I guess I need to get this sorted out before I put DirectCD. Simon

    Changing Drive Letter (CD-ROM)?

Hi, I'd like to know if it's possible to change the drive letter for CDROM (even hard drive)? I can do it with NT 4.0 by running the Disk Admin (I think the name is right), but I can't find a similar utility in NT 2000. Please let me know if you know a way to change it. Thanks Simon

    Changing Drive Letter (CD-ROM)?

Vark111, Thanks a lot, I finally can change the drive letter for the ROMs. Simon
  10. Hi, I have a ABit-BH6 motherboard and I installed Win2k advance server (2095) yesterday. However, Windows won't power off itself (I get the screen that says it's safe to turn off the PC). I checked the hardware profile and I don't have any APM installed, is this correct? In the BIOS, I don't enable ACPI, however, I do have APM enabled. Thanks for your suggestions. Simon

    TweakUI & Registry Clean

Hi, I'd like to know if it's safe to use TweakUI 98 and Registry Clean on Windows 2000 Advance Server. Also, when I'm looking for device driver such as printer driver, scanner driver, which platform should I get? Sometimes there are versions for Win9X and NT4, should I get NT4 and check if it works? Thanks for your input. Simon

Thanks for the reply, but I don't see any APM tab under Power Options.
