you should get a little more ram there man, at least 128-192MB with Windows 2000.

try disconnecting the RAID and remove non-key hardware such as NIC, sound card, some ram, ....check your bios settings, make sure your ram is set to the proper latency settings...etc....

yea, i'd really like to make my own based on my GeForce 2 MX, and since you have problems with certain drivers for your TNT2 then it would work out well to have custom drivers. More people could release drivers, maybe better than those that are being released now, i've made my own monitor driver using powerstrip, but thats a monitor driver, nothing cool.

MS never messed it up, 3dfx messed itself up but f.ucking over companies such as Diamond and entrusting their 3dfx cards to STB to manufacture them all. why should there be any 3dfx support in Windows 2000 and XP? Don't get me wrong, the voodoo cards were great, but waiting so long to put out another card after the Voodoo3 was the nail in the coffin for 3dfx, and don't think just because Nvidia doesn't support the 3dfx cards that it's their fault either.

i got the same card as brian, i must say, i've had this card since it's been released (payed $150usd)and it has been the best overall video card i have ever had, plus its a nice cool blue color.

Cody, now don't you think that if you wouldn't beat the sh1t out of the parts that you think don't work but they really do and repeatedly switch cases, hardware, operating systems, the computer....then you're computer might run smooth and efficiently, my advice is to sell your computer and buy another one in 2 years when you grow out of the "beat the sh1t out of the helpless computer" phase. Not trying to be mean, but 90% of other people don't have all of the problems that you have, it's not bad luck with computers, but just an immature temper and ignorance. the 12.41's that come with 2505 are sorta "bare-bones" drivers, i advise you upgrade to the real 12.41's for win2k, or better yet try the 12.90's or 14.20's, from what you're saying, you've only used the 12.41's that 2505 came with and the old 6.50's.....have you tried any other drivers? did you try using the PnP Monitor drivers?

the last slot drive i had was a 16x CDROM out of a Compaq Presario 4774, it was great, best cdrom i ever had, no problems at all, Pioneer dvd drives are great in general, i have a Pioneer DVD-115(tray)16x and it has been the best dvd drive i have ever had to date.

the 12.41's are the best that i've seen since the 6.67's, give them a try, the 14.20's are ok too.

just buy a ps2 man, it'll more than pay for itself if there were an emu for it because you'd spend weeks trying to get a game to play at a decent qualtiy level.

all this is pretty sad, i installed EZCD5 because i wanted to see if it was cool....BAAAHHH, it sucks, i reverted back to EZCD 3.5c and CDRWIN4
