just reinstall Windows, it's the easiest thing to do.
-
thats how the legacy side of me feels.

others would seem to disagree Dos. ------ I, on the other hand, think it would be great to have a GF/Soundcard combo or even a mobo with an onboard GF2MX and sound, its a nice combination for a bargain pc, i kinda like the concept, sort of an XBox that you can build, customize, upgrade, run apps, etc..........you get the point. but then the legacy side of me doesn't want integration like this to happen, at the rate things are going now, in a few years we won't have computers to build, upgrade, and feel proud when when something is accomplished. I'm high right now....sorry.

try deleting it GF3 in Device manager and remove all registry entries, located the default XP driver(s) and rename them, yada yada yada, restart and try to update the drivers. if that don't work, make sure you have successfully activated/cracked XP. other than that i have no other suggestions other than to format and reinstall.

Hmmmm, interesting point, try setting your password to [blank], for security reasons i don't advise you do this on a computer that alot of people use. -
take all your hardware out except for your video card, do not overclock, check your ram CAS (latency) settings, move any drives on the raid array(if you got one) over to the onboard IDE's, remove some ram if all else fails. Then after you crack/activate it, shutdown and put all your hardware back in. Try that.

because they are digitally signed for Windows 2000, not for Windows XP.

BladeRunner: i agree with you 100%, some forums have no class whatsoever, guess thats why they're not mentioned on TechTV or Microsoft's website.

i have an ABit VH6, i haven't installed the 4 in 1's, i'm running XP RC1 2505, if you do decide to install them, run the setup program in Win2k compatibility mode.
-
try installing the drivers in Win2k compatibility mode if possible.

Okay, in the Trailers for Final Fantasy, it says "Only in Theatres", does that mean it won't be available on DVD?
-
Unzip the drivers that you download. Go to Device Manager Right click Video Card/Adapter, choose properties. Choose Update/reinstall driver choose to specify a driver point to the .inf file where you unzipped the drivers yada yada yada.....blah blah blah........ Restart.

Four and Twenty: download the 8.03's, i heard they're almost as good as the 12.90's and some people seem to like them over on The CAD Forum.
-
i tried the 12.90's and performance dropped by about 60 3dmarks in 3DMark 2000
