why pay for it when cracks work?
-
miku: you should post the new 1.1 fixed-exe.
-
no problem.

yea, turn off Simple Networking, i assume you would install NetBeui from the add/remove components section of the Windows XP cd. I'd use TCP/IP, you're on a home network i a guessing, is it that important that the connection be secure?
-
you can you the program X-Setup 6.1 to change it.

Well guys, I'm back to using my old P3 667, the guy next door finally bought my P3 1GHz for $250 USD. I built my Dad a computer from parts lying around and I'm getting ready to build my girlfriend a computer so I removed 2 sticks of 256 from my computer (gotta buy a stick of 512 anyway), so now i got 256MB RAM. i'm using a Hercules 3D Prophet II MX 32MB AGP (GeForce 2 MX), Overclocked: Core: 215 Mem: 210 Drivers: Det. 12.41 Win2k WHQL OS: Windows XPProfessional, Build 2481 -------------- Strange, i have a TNT 1 in the other machine with the 12.90's and Win2k installed, they seem to work fine. You might want to try the 7.58's, they were really good. -------------- Here's some benchmarks done by Tweakers Asylum under Win2k with SP2: http://www.tweakersasylum.com/Detonators/Win2k/detonator2k.html

Win2k "Corrupt File Copy" from install CD! Help pl
EddiE314 replied to Atlas's topic in Customization & Tweaking
true, have you ran crc.exe on the cdrom's volume? might be a small problem with the burn, i doubt it though since you've used it before and it installed fine. If it's a RAM problem, try taking some out and try changing the CAS Latency in the bios, and make sure you have not got the CPU Overclocked. -
i agree, a clean install is more reliable.
-
well, i upgraded to the 12.90's and i got a loss of only 3 3DMarks in 3DMark 2000. I rolled back my drivers to 12.41, they seem to be faster and more stable. gonna try the 8.03's later.
-
actually you can install it, if you edit the sysoc.inf file and remove all the the "hide" 's then you can remove it and MSN Explorer
-
well, apparently no one else here on the boards has a better Idea, i guess reinstalling IS the best solution.
-
go to Device manager, delete the entries for the cdroms, ensure that the drives are set correctly (check jumpers)(master and slave). If that doesn't work you might want to try a format and reinstall.
-
oh ok, i was worried for a second.
-
i feel the same, in fact, as long as i can get 40-50fps in Q3A/TA and 35fps in UT, i am happy, 1024x768x32bpp@85Hz is my preferred resolution.
-
so you got WMP8 to play dvd's? thats cool, does it bother you to have to use WMP8? the only thing that i don't like about it is the fact that it have so few features for playing dvd's.
-
ThC: dude, it's okay to smoke bud, i don't consider it a drug. Kyguy: yes i am! (exactly what does your name mean? is the KY" part related to "KY-Jelly"?)
-
ok, try using WMP8 to play the dvd's, see if that works, if it does then ATI's player is screwed and you can try running it under Windows 2000 Compatibility mode.
-
the best and easiest way is to destroy and rebuild the partitions then format and clean install RC1. Will it boot up in Safe Mode?
-
No problem man, i hope you can find a way to fix this annoying error, BTW, have you tried enabling the AutoEndTasks in the registry?

EddiE314 replied to Atlas's topic in Customization & Tweaking
i've had this problem too, the cd worked fine on most systems, but on some i would get what you get (not the same corrupt files though), try taking the cd out an cleaning it, if possible, use a different cdrom. i have found not way to fix this, can anyone else help?
