my Hollywood Plus Decoder card and software now works flawlessly (using build 2465). "UNDELETE" yea, i remember...it was great...but do you we really need it now? i mean, thats why you have a recycle bin, shouldn't have deleted a file in the first place if you wanted it that bad.

Cody, i told you when i gave you the cd that you need to update it to the latest for win2k.

game interaction is a big plus in my book, what good is cool stuff in a game if you can't play with it?

what the hell are you talking about man? the sims and the sims livin large ran fine for me on 2k, just because it doesn't say win2k on the box doesn't men its not meant for win2k....about the sound.....did you crack the game or download a rip? i bought both games and had to cd crack them becuase cd checks are annoying, cracking them usually left me with little or no sound and an invisible cursor.

you could triple boot win2k, winme, and win98, but if 2000 isn't present, then you can, either use 2k with it or go get a boot manager

i sold my NU2k cd for $5, it was the worst set of programs i had ever had....a question about AV progs......why doesn't M$ release one?

put your 2462 cd in, go to add rem. components or whatever, you'll have to install the extra networking crap, its a pain in the a$$ but it needs to be done, or at least thats how it had to be done in 2446.

well, i still stick to my side of things, but i can't help but agree a little with Brian, ok, i'll tell you what Cody. I have McAfee Antivirus here, i'll let you copy it and use it (make sure you get all of the updated virus definitions), and if it doesn't hog up your resources then by all means, use it. In this day and age, its all about choice, we all have our reasons to use or not to use and Anti-virus prog.

I recently aquired a 17" Dell Monitor from a friend for free. The only problem is that it has a 9-pin female connector on the back and most or all video cards are 15-pin. My question is, Can i just buy a 9 to 15 pin adapter or do i have to find a 9 pin vid card (i've never seen one myself)? Can someone help to provide a pin-out so i can make my own adapter? All of the text and warnings on the back are in German, which leads me to believe its a German monitor, will it work here in the US? The monitor's model number is: Dell D1728-LS . Thanks in Advance.

a virus scan program?? don't think so, you don't need one Cody, as much as you format and reinstall, it's pointless, and how often do any of us Win2k users get a virus??? I have never had one since i started using it. The thing i hate about virus scanners is that they use resources that could be used for something else, and even if you have a 1.5GHz machine and 512mb ram, they still seem to wanna hog cpu cycles and slow down your boot time, remember Cody, that's precious memory that you COULD be using to play games with.
