usings a Hex editor is really tricky man, i suggest you go to a site like: www.gamecopyworld.com and see if they already offer a hacked EXE file, save yourself some time and pain.

awwww, isn't that cute, Arin has no friends so his little stuffed animal makes him feel better by playing NES with him. BTW, hey jdulmage, how's it going? [This message has been edited by EddiE314 (edited 23 December 2000).]

Abit VP6 Dual Socket 370 Mobo, does it support Celeron FCPGA's?
-
yea man, but there's usually a patch or something for that, make sure you tell us how the VP6 runs.
-
that ruins my plans then, i got a GeForece 2 gts. i wanted the vp6 cause i thought it was beautiful and looked as if it would run dual Celeron FCPGA's.
-
Actually Arin, i always thought you were the fag, isn't it spelled Faggot and not Fagot?
-
Nu?

Mmmmm, VP6, putting in an order for it next week.

Will Windows 98 remain the best overall gaming OS or will ME
EddiE314 replied to FKTOAST's topic in Games
i don't know about that man, if and when they (M$)start that subscription crap, i'll still be using Win2k, if i pay for an OS, i better dam*ed well own it. -

Quad Intel Pentium IV 1.8@2.25GHz ABit ZX6-E Intel i860 Chipset 4GB DDR-RAM 1.2TB Hard Drive 30000RPM UUW SCSI nVidia GeForce 3 xDDR (256MB DDR-RAM) Microsoft Windows.NET 3.0 Adv Svr (2002) --------------- Hmm....kinda gay huh? -
i'd go with Hauppauge, never heard of any problems with them.
-
Hmmm, have you tried Powerstrip? I can't remember if it lets you change the clock settings.
-
Try an "Asus CUWE-RM" its a Socket 370 FCPGA motherboard (microATX) with onboard sound and video, it has 3 PCI slots and 1 AMR slot, 3 168-pin DIMMs, Ultra DMA/66, it supports Socket 370 Pentium 3's 533-733MHz, i don't know if it supports Celeron FCPGA's or not, you'll have to read up on it, it'll run you about $125-$130 US. Hope I helped.

i ran Power DVD on a Pentium II 333 with 64mb ram and it ran fine, also on a K6-2 350. its not the processor
-
i never had any problems when i had Dual Celeron 400@550's, just remember that no games support SMP except for Q3A. (there may be a few more that do but i don't know about them)
-
You're Cyberlink PowerDVD right? I use it too in Win2k, it constantly drops frames and the sound has skips and pops in it, i have a Celeron 667@832 with 256mb ram and a Soundblaster Live. I have had no success in fixing any of these problems, aside from that i like PowerDVD. I have another problem though, i have a Sigma Designs Holywood Plus DVD decoder card and i have no clue how to get it to playback on my monitor, in the options menu it has an option for VGA but its grayed out and i can't select it, if anyone has any suggestions for any of these problems, please help.

using an Abit VH6 mobo, i set the bios up to boot from the cdrom first, but it will never boot off my win98 cd, i have to format my drive and reinstall win2k and winme but i can't get to a DOS prompt to do it. Please help.
-
i don't NEED to boot off my win98cd but that's how i usually boot the computer to format and install win2k and winme, my BIOS doesn't seem to see either of my dvd or cdrw drive. i made a cdrom setup boot disk on my little win98 box but it wouldn't boot it, it just said that NTLDR was missing, press any key.
