been running a dual boot of win2k and winme build 2513 (old) and i haven't had any problems at all except for the one that is similar to Tim's, but with mine, some control panel applets don't wanna open when i tell them to, i have to try 2 or 3 times, then it hangs for a sec, and then opens...just a little problem though. -
its not fair to compare a beta OS to a Retail Gold OS for the simple fact that it is what it is...beta. I thought that build 2223 was very unstable, i always got explorer.exe crashes, as for build 2250 or 2252 i don't know, i haven't used it yet.

just make a crossover cable, terminate one end in Alpha or "a" and the other end in Bravo or "b".

[boot Loader] timeout=4 Default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT [Operating Systems] multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT="Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional" /fastdetect C:\="Microsoft Windows 98"

just repartition the drive, reserve 1.5gb for 9x and the rest for win2k as ntfs

Ok, i'm on the road alot doing Networking and i have to have some way to check my mail as well as have something to play with, so i'm thinking about buying a Compaq Presario 1200 series notebook. Celeron 566 32mb ram (buying an extra 64mb) 5gb hard drive 12.1" Active Matrix display bulit-in 56k v90 modem etc....etc...etc.... the price for the notebook with just 32mb ram is $999.00 US and if you want the extra 64mb ram you have to add $179.00 US. Does it sound like a good deal? does anyone out there have a Compaq Notebook? with a 566MHz cpu and 96MB ram, i think i might put win2k on it (might be a little sluggish but oh well).
-
really? i might just have to check Dell's site now

Sh1t Inferno, i'm only 19 man. Whistler to Blackcomb? I think not. Maybe jdulmage's little MS friend is feeding him this fine line of bullsh1t. What's everyone else think? Who was the last person to knock-up jdulmage's mom anyway???
-
jdulmage, i think you like the attention that people give you, and its not for being funny or cute, its for being a complete moron, and tell your little MS friend (if he even exists) that he can suck my sweaty balls after a hard day of running Cat5.
