do what YuppieScum said, it worked for me whenever I tried to open certain folders on my friends Win2k machine.
-
The copy of Pinball off of Windows ME beta2 works great on Windows 98.
-
Personally LSD, if I were you I'd switch back to Windows 98 too. I mean, if you're too ignorant to use Win2k, then switch back by all means, but you have to understand that THERE WILL BE DRIVERS! I'm also pissed about lack of driver support and incompatible programs. But I'd trade all of that for a stable OS which Windows 2000 seems to be. I really didn't mean to be an A$$hole but i'm having a bad day. Sorry. Have a Nice Day.

i got the same "No CD Key" version
-
Well, on the Plus! 98 CD, it the content stored in .CAB files like Win95/98/ME? If so you can use Winzip to open the particular CAB file and extract the screensave and it's data.

isn't that a type of blanket?
-
Hmmm, faking it? Yea sure, I'll bet they woke up one morning and said to themselves: "Wouldn't it be funny as hell if we faked our support for Windows 2000 just to mess with the minds of the users!". Just a thought Have a nice Day.

don't be pissed, my Creative Decoder card (Inlay CT7165) is not supported under win2k. I was pissed too, it didn't do me any good.
-
to tell you the truth, i haven't seen any better framerates for Quake 3 on an SMP system, i got dual cel400's@500, 384MB ram, and a voodoo banshee(well the Banshee died)but i got about 42fps without smp and with smp i got like 45-47fps, you be the judge
-
i dunno, try to be more specific, i've had no problems with Nero. Do you have the lastest updates and drivers (Aspi and such)?
-
Any new games working in W2K with the new Voodoo3 drivers? (

yea, i got quake 3 running on my third machine -
if all you see is IPX, then you don't have TCP/IP configured right, or IPX is the only thing supported under a certain game, don't ever use IPX, use TCP/IP.
-
DX5 should not install over top of DX7 even if you choose to install it, if a game is for DX5 it will work under DX7 as well.
-
Upgrade to 2195, the only one you should really get is the Critical Update
-
i got an MVP3 mobo on my second machine with a k6-2 400@450, no problems

I have that prob on my other machine, i have found no way to fix it. -
By all means Ekstreme, be personal, i have been b1tching about lack of driver support for weeks, Creative Sucks, products are ok, but driver support and tech support sucks. I have written numerous e-mails to them with no response to 80% of them, and when they do respond, they give me ridiculous comments and solutions. What about DVD decoder card drivers from them? Don't get me started on that either (Creative PC-DVD Inlay (CT7165)). As for the rest of you who have a problem with us complaining and talking about companies' support, I'm sure i can bless you with swear words in rapid-fire-order. Hmmm...was that personal? Have a nice Day. [This message has been edited by EddiE314 (edited 19 February 2000).]

ByronT, they're using duct tape, not bailing wire, and they're using two 33.6's. I also could have killed myself because of the download, there has to be lots of traffic though
-
Like i have said over and over, Creative sucks, I think they are lazy bastards. What did they do...repackage Detonator 3.76 and call it theirs just to say that they are working hard on Windows 2000 drivers?
-
I had to Reinstall Quake3 to get it to work with the 3.78 drivers, plays ok here.

Have you used the Search feature? Have you checked the News Archive? Have you even tried the Voodoo2 Win2k Drivers yet??
