  1. in 98 i could edit a file in the root of the c: drive or something to edit the text it displays on bootup in DOS for OS selection, can i still do this in 2k?
  2. is this card compatible with w2k? any advise
  3. Here is my prob, i can be installing something or browsing the NET and my comp will freeze, then when i restart i get that IRQ not equal blue screen error on startup. But i found out that if i take my PCI ethernet card and load last good config from F8 it will load great then I can shutdown and put the network card in and it will work again, wired?
  4. When I connect my Microsoft Digital Sound System 80 via the USB port my computer finds it but will do any of the following; Freezes Restarts Installs but when I sound is played a crackly noise is heard then restarts. Is this due to something conflicting? as it is assigned to IRQ 10 in the BIOS and 10 in 2000 I have move cards around in my system to change IRQ's but i can only get it to 11, can i change the IRQ myself for the USB host controller? Just before you ask if it works, it must as i have install win2k before and had the speakers switched on and win2k must of assigned the right IRQ or something and they worked great but i had them off when i installed win2k today.
  5. I am running win98SE and when I put the CD and boot off it win2k does the usual blue screen and copies the files then when it gets to the checking the C: drive bit itsays it is corrupted and cannot continue. Can i bypass this? or will a fdisk fix it mark
  6. i can't seem to find this
  7. When I install win2k final OEM on my system it works fantastic all day or even 2 days but for some reason I will get the blue screen screen on startup with various errors each time ie driver errors, inaccessable boot device etc or it even restart it's self while loading. A I say before this it works fine.
