BTW this happens with any drivers (TNT2, Riva 128, ect) that I've installed other than the native 2000 ones.

Ummm Ronin..you can download it default with winamp at http://www.winamp.com. Freeware and everything...imagine that.

I'm planning on getting Urban Ops, and the home page of this site (ntcompatible) has a post that says it crashes. Has anybody got it to work? I'd like to know if it does before I go and buy the game.

I'm trying to get NHL2000 to work under Win2k, and I was using the Detonator 3.81 drivers and was only able to get software rendering. I tried using 3dsetup, and it had my card, but would only give me software rendering. I've tried the 3.78 detonator drivers too, but with the same results. How can I get hardware acceleration to work? Could it be that I'm using the tnt2 ultra drivers (I have the diamond viper 770 ultra card) that is messing it up?

Win2k defaultly hides the winnt\inf directory, so you need to unhide it and the file will be in the winnt\inf directory...I've used the crack and it worked fine.

And what the heck was that supposed to mean?

Ryo-Ohki replied to merkman's topic in Hardware

I am installing w2k pro on a novell network. I want the machine to be used by several users, all who need to login to the novell network. However, after they login to novell, 2k tries to have them enter another login name and password for it. How do i disable this screen without having to create all those accounts on this machine? I know there's a way to do it, I just can't find it.

Now that I've got my full support of my Soundblaster Live! Value, I'd know like to use my DXR3 in 2000 (yes, I've tried the Hollywood Plus driver with terrible results). Is there any way these nice people who got us the Liveware2000 stuff could also get us DXR3 owners some drivers for 2000 as well? Just wondering.
-
First off, I must say you will gain (0) performance from doing this. RAIDs only work better if you have more than 2 disks in it. Secondly, this is only beneficial if you wanna keep data from being corrupted.

We got Liveware2000, now how 'bout some DXR3 drivers...

I was able to get your solution to work this time--last time I didnt run the dxr3 nt driver install and it had really crappy sound and video. Now it works quite well, and I'm pleased with the results. 98 is now off my system at last! Yeah! -
I used your updated file, but I'm unable to access the speaker controls (to enable the rear speakers) and the mixer. Any ideas on how to get them working?

Whenever I run Netmeeting in 2000, I get a dialog box titled "conf.exe - Entry Point Not Found" and contains the text "The procedure entry point SMapLS_IP_EBP_20 could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.DLL." and has an ok button. I hit the OK and it just sorta quits. What could be causing this to happen?

I'm not sure why or what happened, but for the past couple of days my monitor hasnt been powering off after the specified time in the power control panel, and when i checked my monitor settings, its back to default monitor and wont let me change it. Is there any way to fix this problem? And what may have caused it in the first place?

I wasn't able to get this to run, it kept telling me to run the update. Whats the prob? -
I had the crashing problem as well, so I turned everything off and ran UT. It ran fine, and started turning everything back on. A program called Audiosphere caused a crash, and when removed UT ran fine. I also deleted the Microsoft Office startup items in the startup group, but I'm not sure if they had any effect.
