I am very happy with my performance I am getting between 35 and 40 FPS At 1024 x 768 On Ultra Quality 16x AF 2x AA Using the 4.9 OpenGL driver Humas ATI Tweak and cutom autoexec.cfg

If that is the case he can spend about 20 dollars more and go with the standard 5900 that will out perfor the 5900 XT chip and still be around 200 or so. However I have been a huge Nvidia fan for years and I think I may get the 9800 Pro card because the Nvidia just can't compete when it comes to the DX9 performance. What is the main difference between the 5900 and the 5900 XT there are pretty close in price. What is the disadvantage if I go with the 5900XT instead of the full blown 5900? I want Nvidia so please don't suggest ATI. Thank you

Well my question is I know in the 5950 the sopposedly corrected a few shader problems did those also get corrected in the newer 5900XT or are those problems still in the whole 5900 line and would I be better off with a 5700Ultra that has those corrections already.

I have a Geforce 3 TI200 and I am thinking of upgrading I am working with about a $200 budget. Any Idea's on what I should get I have been looking at some of hte Geforce FX 5600 cards. Should I get one or wait and just save that money. Thanks

OK If I was to go ATI what should I get the Price Range would be $200 to $300. I would prefer closer to the $200 dollar mark.

Well my biggest stumbling block is gettign over allt he driver problems ATI had in the past. Ihave been looking at Gainwards 5600 and Prolink 5600 Gold edition. Are most of you guys thinking that I will most likely need a new card again when Doom 3 and Half-life 2 make it out Or will I make the minimums.

45 bucks your F$%$ing kiding me right. I can go down to my local Computer store and pick up a Geforce 3 TI 200 for 65 bucks and I can order a Geforce 2 MX400 64 MB new of the web for 35 including shipping. No thanks man I'll keep looking

It is pretty sweet. I like the way they built in those special moves when you get 100 on adreniline. Sweet graphics. A must buy for all FPS fans

Windows XP comes with the game port version supported. However the Sidewinder software is not supported and will not work in XP they will only be doing updates for the USB products so no game profiles. I have the same one at home and works fine in xp I even got it to work in 2k but I don't remember how was a while ago.

For Data/Games Lite-On CDRW RULE but they do suck at audio. I have a 40x12x48 I converted it to the 48x12x48 and it's great had a 12x10x32 before that. I think there pretty sold drives. So like every is suggesting it's really what you want to do with it.

After installing SP1 it shows an icon in my task bar when I hover over it it says it is now safe to remove this item and it list my usb items. Any idea how to remove that icon.

I have that enabled that. The Icon was never there that long and never became part of the hidden icon list before SP1. I.m just trying to figure out if they changed the way this worked and if so how to remove the icon.

Prior to SP1 that Icon would only appear after I plug the device in then disappear after a few seconds now it never disappears it always there is there a way to keep it from staying

I installed SP1 last night and now my machine blue screens on boot. Stop: c000021a {fatel system Error} Session Manager Initilization system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000263 yous system has been shut down. I need to uninstall it but I can't get into windows to do it it blue screens in safe mode also. Any help would be appreciated. It is a legal copy so don't even ask.

Well I fixed it I figured out that the service pack didn't over write 2 files that I had customized even though I told it to on install I had to manually overwrite shell32.dll and msgina.dll then everything worked fine. but thanks for all the suggestions
