romainsimoni - he listed windows xp 2600 in his specs..... 3DMaker - it's hard to say what's wrong.... BG2 works fine for me. Do you have the latest updates for the game? And are you running the expansion too?

right, but the question is, what disables the WPA? Does the key just magically disables WPA on any installation? or is it a special cd that doesn't have WPA?
-
The corporate version is just the pro version without WPA (Windows Product Activation). I don't think it's just the key that disables WPA - I think the cd's are a little different too....

no, no, you have to add a new dword called IRQ8Priority and set it to 1....

Quote: P.S.=> That would stink! We cable & dsl folks pay pretty darn good money over the course of a year & nearly a grand over two years (that's a NEW PC if you think about it, & state of the art)... he deserves the bandwidth he paid for if you ask me! apk Just a note on this - most people don't seem to realize that cable/dsl connections are extremely cheap for the amount of bandwidth they provide. Consider the fact that a dedicated ptp T1 (1.54 mbps) could easily cost over $1000 per month.... and here you are complaining about $1000 over two years? Don't get me wrong, I love my cable connection, but you should realize how good a deal it really is.... -

This kind of thing will affect ALL of their users.... have you sent the tracert results to them? Well, good luck getting them to fix it - don't let up on them about this.... -
I don't think you can change this.... AFAIK, the resolution is machine-specific, not user-specific.
-
The driver on Qwest's site should work fine for you.... they are specific to the hardware, not to Qwest. Here's the link, in case others need it: http://www.qwest.com/dsl/customerservice/driver.html

For me, it works fine as long as you leave at low resolution. Once you try to run it at higher resolutions though, it will crash.

(winXP) How to put built-in 'Administrator' account in the n
CUViper replied to Wakane's topic in Software
Rename it to something besides "Administrator" - this should be done anyway, and doing so will put it on the welcome screen Or, you could also make a new account with admin privileges -
ok, ok, guess I can't help lazy people... Though you could make a new account with admin privileges.... that would show up normally
-
Guys, try what I said..... it works, trust me
-
TweakUI can do this...
-
hit ctrl-alt-del twice at the login screen... this should present you with a Win2k-style login prompt

It's in the 'Administrative Tools' (under Control Panel). Or you can right-click 'My Computer' and go to 'Manage'
-
No, I don't mean a message on the screen.... Open the administrative tools and go to 'Event Viewer'. Look through there and see if you've got any errors logged around the time of reboots...
-
I don't see any reason why that would cause problems - does anything show up in the error log when you get those spontaneous reboots?
-
right-click 'My Computer' and go to 'Manage'. Browse to 'Storage->Disk Management'. Right-click on the drive and choose 'Change Drive Letter and Path...' BUT - you cannot change the drive letter of system or boot volumes, so if you want to swap your drives, you're gonna have to reinstall...
-
the 'manage' is not a tab - I'm guessing that you are right-clicking and choosing 'properties'.... instead of 'properties' choose 'manage'

is my PDC resetting all my network clocks!?!??! DAMNIT!
CUViper replied to HELLBRINGER's topic in Networking
Yes, the PDC will set the clocks of other computers on the domain. If it's getting the wrong time, make sure that it is set for the proper time zone.... -
Network and dial-up connections have disappeared!!!!
CUViper replied to sk79's topic in Customization & Tweaking
Or do you mean that you can get there, but can't see anything in it? If that's the case, I'm stumped.... are you logged into an admin account? -
Network and dial-up connections have disappeared!!!!
CUViper replied to sk79's topic in Customization & Tweaking
I'm not sure exactly what you're missing, but I can think of three ways to get to Network & Dial-up Connections.... 1. Right-click "My Network Places" and choose properties 2. Go to Start->Settings->Network & Dial-up Connections 3. Open the Control Panel and choose Network & Dial-up Connections
