Since that card is based on the Intel 740 chipset, you will probably be able to use the drivers here: Intel drivers As far as a new card, I don't know if agp or pci has any effect on overclocking. But, with your chip, I'm guessing that you're pushing it up to 450, on a 100MHz bus. In that case, the AGP bus and PCI bus are both running at normal spec, so the only thing being overclocked is the processor. All other components are at normal speed. For a cheap card, the GeForce2 MX is a great way to go. Or, for a little more, you can get a Kyro II board. I haven't personally tried the Kyro's, but I've heard that they are a great bang for the buck.

make sure that you have a sound selected for the "default beep" - if that's not it though, I don't know....

any of the detonator drivers should work just fine

Those follow-up emails are just more arrogant crap too... that he thinks he has some sort of right to use this free service is ridiculous. Yet he's complaining that he was banned from NTC without any warning, and threatening to pull that into the lawsuit. Screw that - I say never let him back. As a side note, for all the professionalism he was trying to display in that initial email, he really should have run a grammar checker on it - sentence fragments galore!

for whatever reason, clutch's link was just missing a few characters - try this http://www.ntcompatible.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=13481

Quote: Damn I wish we could roll back to the 50's or 60's!!!!!!!!! But that would mean no computer games.... Seriously though, I don't think you can really attribute it to parents working too much - both of my parents had full time jobs, and my sister and I both turned out just fine.

it's all multiples of 1024 1 GB = 1024 MB 1 MB = 1024 KB 1 KB = 1024 bytes

Quote: its not that i hate ntcompatible forums now, they are a great resource. i also will admit i like how much faster the searches go, but i am disapointed with the fact that such a prominent message forum will only allow searches for strings longer than 4 chars. Read the other replies - Philipp already said that he changed it to 3 for you

I think it has to do with the way keyboards read keystrokes. Sometimes it will even beep at you to let you know that there may be a problem (try holding down s-d-x for a few seconds....) There's not really anything to do about it, except try a different key mapping for that game.

Which registry fix did you use? Here's the one I use, and it works great: http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/q138/3/65.asp

If I understand what you're trying to do, it will be easier if you just round Op*2 down - the formula you should use is this: =INT(Op*2)+0.95 If that's not what you want, here's how to make your formula work: =IF((2*Op-INT(2*Op))=0.50,(2*Op+0.45),(2*Op+0.95)) However, this assumes that Op will be a multiple of .25 - eg, if Op was 6.40, then your formula gets 13.75, whereas the first formula I gave gives 12.95. At any rate, my formula will work for both examples you gave and in the more general case as well. Let me know if that works for you....

I especially like the "jump to first new post" link - very handy

IE will continue to put this folder back if you delete it. If you just don't want it to show up in "Favorites", then set its attributes to hidden. Then it will not be shown in the favorites menu, even if you have show hidden files enabled.

err.... how about you let us know what game you're trying to run...

that's pretty standard for it to show 16 char's for a saved password - that way, someone who doesn't know your password also won't know how long your password is by looking at it. It should still give the coreect password when logging in though.

read their posts again man - they're just making fun of you.... -
the build number of the final release is 2195 - you can check your build in system properties. If you have beta 3, then it's not the final, but if it's RC3 it might be, I can't remember....

Brightness with Games and Monitor, please Help.
CUViper replied to EddiE314's topic in Customization & Tweaking
if possible, try using a different refresh rate. Some monitors will show some refresh rates better than others. You might also try lower your resolution and see if that helps.
