trying to get a feel on the optimum memory configuration for win2k. I just upgraded from 128 to 256meg and things definitely run better. Worth going any higher than 256?

I added more memory to my system to bring it up to 256meg.... the game crashing i had been experiencing with 128 meg has stopped and the 3.78 drivers are actually pretty stable now... to see if the extra memory made the difference I took it out and all the problems returned.... My 2 cents.... what's the minimum memory requirement for win2k anyway? I know what it says on the box but want to know what you guys think

I have the Photo 700 and have no problems with the new drivers.... they seem just as fast if not faster than the default ones... What printer u have???

Make sure your MOBO Bios is up to date. I had problems with my Viper 770 until I flashed my Bios.... the 3.75 drivers work great with the Viper 770. I loaded 3.76 earlier and I could not get any games to run stable....

Where in W2K can you reserve IRQ's? I've looked but can't find it.

I had a similar problem.... I logged on as admin and deleted the user, then re-added him and it fixed my problem. There is probably a permission setting somewhere but I didn't feel like looking for it at the time. let me know what u find out

I'm having no problems with the 3.75 drivers. My system config is: P3 450 Soyo 6vba133 128 Meg Ram Diamond Viper 770 3.66 had problems with a few games but that is it.

When I shut down my computer it get's to the 'It is now safe to turn off your computer' screen but doesn't turn off... Is there a setting I over looked? running w2k on a Soyo 6vba133 motherboard
