Hi, Is there a way to change the default folder icon for windows 2000. I looked in Folder option and found a file type called "Folder" but I cant change the icon, it is greyed out. Is there any way other than using a program. ARC

Click Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools Under there Click on System Information. Asw the program loads. Click on Hardware Conflicts. ARC

Hi, I want to access my university servers which are linux/unix based. I can use telnet to check my mail and stuff but it deosn't provide support for graphical application such as nedit editor. Is there a program in Windows 2000 that can help me do that or some other programs. ARC

Thanks Maximus, Well, one little thing, as soon as we install SP1, the window crashes and there is no way to get back into windows, so how can we manage to install that other patch. Secondly, I dont think Microsoft has made that patch public, where can it be found. By the way, I love Gladiator!. ARC

Well, I cannot believe it. From the time I switched to 2000, i noticed considerable gain in every aspect especially internet... Try installing SP1 and updates. But it aint possible. ARC

Thats basically it. Is there any way I could get around this problem. Secondly, in AGP 4X mode, in DXDIAG, the AGP Test freezes. In AGP 2X mode, it works fine. What important info is that? Please share your views with us. Many people here are building similar systems with A7V motherboard and ATA 100 HD. My friend has a similar system with a 30 GB Maxtor 7200 RPM HD. As soon as he installs SP1, it starts giving error: INACCESSIBLE BOOT DEVICE Any Suggestions for that? ARC

Hi, Well here is my analysis: I installed it on two systems: PIII 450 w/ 256MB and Pentium 200 MMX w/ 32MB It works perfectly fine on PIII 450, even without the patch and it doesn't work in Pentium 200 even with the patch. It gives me the error: An Internal Error has occured, please contact, Westwood. www.westwood.com... Something like that and it exits back to the desktop. Tried QfixApps, but didn't help. As far as I think, this is related to memory management. I will try to tweak my old system and try to get it to work. ARC

Hi, I am having problems with AGP4X. Everything works fine in 2X mode but as soon as I turn to 4X, the Direct3D hardware test doesnt work and computer hangs. I have to restart and go back to 2X mode.
