Hi Guys, I installed CDRWIN. On Intialization, it said, ASPI Manager not found. I though it is because I dont have EASY CD Creator in my system. I installed Easy CD Creator 5 , but still it keep on giving me the error. I reinstalled CDRWIN. Didn't work! Now, I have heard that Easy CD Creator installs the ASPI Layer, but why doesnt it do it. Is it necessary to force ASPI. ARC

Hi, I messed up with Security Setting (Right Click C:\ Sharing and Security). Now they are all grayed out, can't change any of them. I cannot create a folder on my drive. ACCESS DENIED. Is there a way to reset them? ARC

How do you install the ASPI Drivers. From what site. Post the exact links, cause I am having problems with it too. ARC

Hi Everybody, Tried to run Paris-Dakar Rally on Windows XP with Geforce 2. No go! Tried Application Compatibility Toolkit 2.0, didn't work! Tried both the actuall and 12.41 drivers by nvidia. The games just quits back to desktop after the movies. Any ideas? ARC

Hi Guys, Whenever I try to logon or after a restart, Windows XP gives me error, that my page file is not set. go to system > Advanced > Performance and set your page file custom. I did it like 10 times, but the problem is not going. Any ideas? ARC

Hi Guys, I made an automated install of xp last day. It has only one account, the default Administrator Account. Every time it starts windows, it asks me for my password and there is no option for telling it to remember it. How can I make it remember my password so that it logs on to the computer on every restart automatically. Secondly. When I type in my password, it waits at the screen Loading My Settings.... and I have to press Ctrl+Alt+Del for it to proceed. This is weird. Thanks. ARC

Ok I figured it out through research. Here it is: In Run, type the following: 'rundll32 netplwiz.dll,UsersRunDll' Takes to back to the old Windows 2000 User Account Setting. Uncheck the box to autologin. ARC

Thanks THC, but is there any other way of doing it other than installing TweakUI. I think there must a be way to store it or somehow tell it. I do not want to make additional users other than the default Admin User. ARC

Hi, I have a TSENG ET600 Card. It used to work perfectly on windows 2000. Windows 2000 was able to automatically detect and install the drivers for it. Now in XP, it doesn't do that, though my colors and everything is perfect except the REFRESH RATE, which I cannot change because, the Video Controller Drivers in Device Manager are not installed and shows a yellow Exclaimation Mark! I can't even change the monitor due to this! In Display Properties > Adapter it says <Unavailable> for all the info about the adapter and say, "(Default Monitor) on" So whats the resolution. Also My monitor works fine with Geforce 2 MX and windows detects it well as Philips 107MP. Now why isn't it detecting it with this Video Card. Help! Thanks ARC

Hi Guys, I was up[censored] the BIOS was for new K7S5A and suddenly the computer restarting... After that it tries to read from the floppy in the beginning and then start a 2 beep sequence unlimited. I guess it is trying to read some files from the floppy and doesn't find it. It is not posting. Any Ideas what to do? ARC

Hi Guys, I have been having this problem from yesterday. The collision led lights up if i transfer something on my network. The network speed is now very very slow. I tried chaning the network cards and the cables even. The collision is not stopping. The only thing left to change is the HUB. Do you guys think that the HUB can cause the problem. Any ideas. About program. I have Windows XP RC1, RC2 on machines. There are only two computes. I am using Simple RJ-45 Cables (No Cross Overs). Any ideas. ARC

Thanks for replying. Actually I found out the problem. I had two NICs on my server, one was a 100 and the other one was 10 Mbps. I connected my 100Mbps to the Hub (10Mbs Bandwidth) and the other to my internet. Since the hub had a 10Mbps Bandwidth, it was causing the problem. I reverted back to the orignal config, with the 10Mbps going into the hub and the 100Mbps connected to my cable modem Everything was ok then. No collision at all. Miku

Please make a diagram of the connection. Hard to understand. Would help better if a diagram is available. Thanks.

One more thing I forgot to tell you guys. My brother ran a program called DRTCP on both computer. He tried to maximize the performance of internet before this happened. Something related to TCP Receive and MAXMTU Stuff. So I guess if i can restore those settings in registry it would be good. Anybody know DRTCP and how to restore Windows XP Original Setting. I guess they maybe the same as for Windows 2000. Let me know what you guys think. ARC

Well the directx thing actually worked. I found that I downloaded the win9x version. Sorry for the last reply. Anyway, the game is very boring and typical. ARC

Hi Guys, I can get my POP email on my main server. I have ICS enabled on my server, but cant get that same POP mail on the workstation. ARC

Well clutch I dont know what is translating. I have not set any configs. My email server has always been 'mail'. I think my cable modem is translating all that stuff, cause I am not using "any" software for @HOME. Sorry, I do not know what you are looking for? ARC

Hi Guys, I just want to know how can I disable Windows Product Activation. How can I remove it from Startup I mean , so that it doesn't remind me of activating again and again. I found it somewhere that you can use regsvr32 /u /s ... But dont know the two Dll to regsvr Anybody. ARC

It does work by extracting file. It says, directx not found. ARC

Yes It is possible. The activation process is not that secure, I believe. ARC

Hi Guys, I have not yet noticed an Unattended.doc file for Windows XP. If anyone of you have, please let me know. Cause it is very helpful for a custom install. You can select what components you want to install and leave the rest out. Let me know. Thanks ARC

Thats alright Eddie, but if you get some info let me know. Windows 2000 CD had an Unattended.doc I do not know why they left it out for Windows XP. ARC
