Hi Guys, I have Brian Lara Cricket. I have played it in 98 and want to get it working in 2000. In windows 2000 when I execute the exe, I get an error "Not a valid Win32 Application" Why? I tried using the Application Compatibility Toolkit of Whistler but there is no response, no error. Any ideas? ARC

Hi Guys, I have been using Windows 2000 for more than a year now without any reinstalls. It has worked incredibly stable for me. Though since a week it is giving me very strange problems. Like After 3 or 4 hours of computer use, it behaves like this. When I right click, half of the menu is black and half is ok. When I right click the menu goes on the top left corner. The Title Bar is gone. No min,max,close buttons. Corruption in all menus and taskbar. Everything gets dismantel. Then if I restart, everything is ok. I have Norton Antivirus Installed updated and no viruses found. Please help on this. ARC

Thanks for the prompt reply guys, Well there is nothing wrong in Device Manager, I only have threre devices, SB Live, Asus V7100 and a Network Card. I installed IE6 Beta and removed it too. I play game every day on this machine like Counterstrike, NBA Live 2001. The machine works at a good speed. Did not notice any problems with that. I was thinking of installing a newer version of IE. Maybe that is the problem? Any more suggestion? Thanks..

Hi Guys, If I export a registry file that has a path as InstallDir "C:\ABC\DEF" Now I want to change the reg file such that when I import that reg file, the path in InstallDir should be of the folder where the reg file exists How can I accomplish that? ARC

Thanks for replying.. Ok It is like this I have a game that I want to save on CD. I have exported its registry entry in file, Set.reg Now the reg file contains an InstallDir field with the value C:\Games\NBA I will save this file in the NBA Directory. Now I zip the NBA folder and burn the zip on CD. Now when I unzip the game from CD to some other folder not the above one, lets say C:\NBA the registry would not correspond. Therefore, I want that when I import that reg file from that new folder, it should change that InstallDir value to the folder it resides in, namely C:\NBA Thats basically it! ARC

Hi Guys, Recently I was looking at the screenshots of Windows XP. I noticed that the scrollbars in Internet Explorer are not skinned and are plain. Though, this is a very small issue but, I believe consistency in UI is very important. Futher, I knew that Window Blinds was not able to skin these same scrollbar and I thought Microsoft would certainly find a remedy for this. But looks like it is impossible. Anyway, if anyone feels anything to be said. Please do... Thanks.

Hi, Well you should see the shortcut properties in Windows 2000 too. Here is how to enable it. Type the the following in Run regsvr32 %systemroot%\apppatch\slayerui.dll Then Shorcut Properties > Compatibility > choose Windows 98 Compatibility Layer.. That all! Done!

Hi Guys, I have NBA Live 2001 and I can run it fine using CD. However I found a way to start the game without the CD by editing Registry value of Installed from to ".\" The One on One mode works fine, though when I click on exhibition, season, my mouse pointer gets stuck and game gets stuck with Music repeating again and again until I use the Task Manager to terminate it. Now I need to know somehow I can get through and Play the game. Thanks ARC
