i only got the ms intellimouse on my usb-port. i tried using it as p2/2 device, but it did not solve the problem. still this $%&%$$!! bluescreen. is there any tool which checks for non-microsoft .dll's? it might be that when i installed some old software it replaced a win2k system dll with an old one. but otherwise - i did setup.exe again and choosed to upgrade to win2k (from win2k ) - the error is still the same.

before you (re-)install the driver, edit the nv4_disp.inf look for the lines for nv10. change the refresh rates so that there is only 100hz in it. make sure you keep the wrong format, i.e. all the '100's must be under ... errrr ... my english sucks just look into the file, you will see what i mean. if not ... lemme know regards

i always get the error driver_power_state_failure when i try to shut down my win2k or go into hibernate. i tried also a 'setup', but nothing has changed. i know that it's not there when i do a fresh install, just that i had win2k up for 10 days now, and i really dont remember what i did / install / whatever. please help. thanks my system: abit bx6-r2.0 cel504mhz win2k prof tekram scsi controller brother printer must be related to some application, like installing old nero would prevent from going into hibernate.

i got the abit bx6-2 and just updated to the latest bios. im wondering now, if it's worth to switch on the "ACPI Enable" in Bios, and tell win2k 2195 to use it ... what's the advantage of it for me? any comments would be welcome ... thanks i did, btw, scan this board for 'Acpi', but what i found did not answer my question

you can use 'convert32' or 'convert' to convert youzr fat32 partition to ntfs. i did it with 2 of my fat32 (win98) drives. no data lost. win2k was telling me it has to reboot, and within 5 mins it had converted 16gb nearly full fat32 drive.

k, thanks. just found out a work-around that will also work for opengl games: edit the .inf file of the driver so that it only supports the refresh rate you want, i.e. 100hz. then reinstall that driver. achja, woher wußtest du, daß ich deutsch bin - mein englisch scheint ziemlich mies zu sein

i want to edit the picture when win2k starts up ... any clue which file it is?

under win98 i changed the refresh rates on all modes (800x600, 1024x768) to 100hz just by setting it correct on the desktop. now, under win2k, i can't do that. no matter what refresh rate i set in the desktop, as soon as it starts up a game (i.e. unrealtourmament), it defaults it to 60hz. damn annoying. when i quit the game, its 100hz on the desktop again. what can that be? thanks
