It's even worse for me : I didn't had any win 98 anymore !! so I had to install it back on a spare 1.7Gb hard drive that I have and I have to physically plug/unplug it to switch configuration !! :-) I really hope Diamond will come with a newer version of their software but I couldn't find any info on it on their site. What keeps me in the good mood is that the Rio works just fine under W98, the download process is incredebly fast and the sound kicks ar... !! So I'll keep searching for this software to have it work on W2000...

I just bought a Rio 500, following instructions on this site, I manage to have rio manager to work under win 2000 (v. 2.1.5) and the device is recognised OK in the USB hub. BUT it just don't work : when launching the software it just says it can't find the Rio.. so If you could help. Thanks

well YuppieScum, I'll just wait a few more days then. Thanks anyway. YCSU, no problem at all for me but I don't have the same config. However a friend of mine has also a P2B-D with dual pII400 and it seems to work fine. He also has the same SCSI controller as you.Did you try to re-install ?? Yep, I've got those built-in drivers working, what I'd like to know is if there is a Liveware version that could work in SMP as I see everywhere that Liveware3 NT won't work on SMP machines. Thanks

HI, I've got a BP6 so with the same HPT366 driver, As I got it 3 weeks ago I was really sceptical about the driver that comes with it for NT4... But it works just fine. The only trouble is that this driver doesn't support the Hibernation function. I suggest that you get this driver from abit (abit.tw.com)and install it with the device manager. It should be OK. I've got exactly the same problem and i have seen it on several computers with different configurations. So I believe this comes from the software. I didn't look for a patch yet so I don't know how to fix this, what I can tell is that you're not the only one !! ------------------ Config: Dual celeron 400 on BP6 128 Mo SDRAM PC 100 Rage fury 32Mo, SB Live Player IBM 20Go U66,DVD A103S,Yamaha 4*4*16*: IDE Win2000 Final

Hi, Well I have the same problem even if I haven't got the same config. I also tested it on another W2000 PC and it did the same. I don't know what it is so far but what I'm doing for now is ... Playing under W98. Regards
