I have 4 ata 66 drives in my machine and i'd like to make sure the ones that are on the 66 controller are working right. --------------------- Abit BE6 (ata/66) P3 750 FCPGA Riva TNT2 Ultra hd1: 6GB(win2kserver)ntfs hd2: 30GB(mp3's 5000+)ntfs hd3: 13GB(storage/backup)fat32 hd4: 20GB(storage)ntfs Adaptec AHA-2940W/2940UW SCSI card Plextor 12x10x32x EIDE LG 8x DVD-ROM EIDE Hollywood Plus DVD decoder card Iomega Zip 100 EIDE Sound Blaster Live! Is it possible in Windows 2000 to block a user of a domain from using a certain machine. I currently have a 2000 Pro machine on a domain. Currently any domain user (which is over 1000 users) can log onto my machine. Is there a way for me to not allow users other than myself to use this machine? Thanks Ancker Jade

It's on the Windows 2000 Resource Kit CD..not the windows 2000 CD Ancker

I use the latest drivers from www.creative.com with my card.(Riva TNT2 Ultra) Runs GREAT...Quake 3, Unreal, Falcon 4.0. [AND this is on Windows 2000 Server] Excellent Frame rate.. smooth...
-
Actually there is a way around it.. it's actually pretty neat. install Windows 2000 Server OR Pro Resource Kit. (you must also have a win2k box(with admin rights networked to the machine messed up.) from the command prompt where "ntrights" is type c:\ntrights -m \\computer -u (user or group) -r SeDenyInteractiveLogonRight worked like a charm..... I'd also(on my machine at work) DENY local logons to everyone on the domain (except for me and a few others) How would i do this..I know how to use the local policy editor. and i know i can't add the "everyone group" to the list or NO ONE can log on. There a way to say...EVERYONE....BUT...?? -

OK. I want to disable things like "lock computer" and "disable run command" for certain users. BUT NOT myself. and when i go into LOCAL policy editor i cannot find these items...but they ARE listed in group policy editor. and there are only the 3 setting "enabled, disabled, not configured" how do you assign accounts to the group editor? -

they dont' in the group policy edit. Yes i see that in the Local Policy Editor...but not in group...you can only enable, disable, or have it not configured. Maybe i'm missing something... please explain better. Ancker -

Can someone point me to the BEST/FASTEST Cd Ripper for 2k.. I want GOOD speed.(i have a Plextor 12.10.32) which is one of the best in ripping..i want to take advantage of it.. and it has to have CDDB2 access.....PLEASE HELP (free or shareware or retail) Ancker Jade.
-
CDDB2 is the new version of CDDB they are nolonger taking submissions to CDDB....they are only putting them on CDDB2...but they are uploading all of the CDDB1 to the newer CDDB2....but they are not going backwards so if you submit something to CDDB2, CDDB1 will not see it...therefore Audio Catalyst will not see new cd's
-
I have used Audio Catalyst and I only get 8-10x what are the exact settings for your setup? Thanks (and audio catalyst 2.1 doesn't support cddb2)

I was just curious as to where all of you signed up to be a beta tester. I have looked and looked but I can't find a sign up form anywhere.. I'm sure it's too late for XP but could one of you point me in the right direction so maybe I can be a tester of Windows 2010. Thanks Ancker Jade
