I just installed the Win2k drivers from Nvidia's site, but Unreal Tournament won't run in either D3D or OpenGL on my TNT. Are there newer, better drivers than the ones that are posted on their website? If so, where can I get them? -Mike

I had one, but since 3dfx has NO support for it in Win2k I ditched it for a Hauppauge WinTV and a TNT2. -Mike P.S. I hate 3dfx.

I just installed a new Hard Drive, Western Digital's WDE18310-0042 (18gb 10k RPM UW-SCSI2 LVD) and although my SCSI controller card (AHA-2940U2W) detects it fine, and I can do a low-level format, when I get into windows and go to the disk manager the drive has the "do not enter" symbol on it, and all I can do is try to write a signature, which fails. It's the only device on the SCSI2 jack, my other HD is on the regular SCSI one, I also have a 68-80 pin adapter between the controller card and the non-working drive, it has termination enabled. I contacted WD and they said since the controller detects it fine then it's not a hardware problem, but rather a software problem, and that I needed to contact MS support (lol). ANY help would be appreciated... I'm at my wit's end. -Mike

Has anyone been able to get the decoder card that comes with the Creative DVD 6x Encore dxr3 to work? I downloaded the latest NT drivers, but after I run the .exe and reboot, the same thing happens (new hardware found, no device drivers found for this hardware). Anyone have any suggestions? OK I: 1. Installed Hollywood+ beta drivers 2. Install latest Dxr3 NT4 driver 3. Install the dxr3 player software. - can't do this, EXACT same problem when I run the setup utility. Argh. Thanks for all the help! -Mike

Ok, so I should hook up my DVD drive via a DMA cable (as opposed to the regular IDE one)? Ok, I ran the setup program that came w/ the NT4 drivers, I'm rebooting now, as I understand it Win2k enables DMA automatically. Thanks, -Mike

Oh and yeah I installed the drivers first - I assumed that was what I was supposed to do...

Ok, I found and downloaded that program, but I don't see how that'll help me - I get the error on install, not when I try to run the installed program. Thanks! Mike C.

Ok, that worked great. Only one problem: when I try to install their (Sigma Design's)DVD player, it says "SEVERE: Unable to determine the board!". Should I install Creative's player? I think that's what I'm supposed to do, but I'm wary of f@#$ing my drivers up again.

Argh any ideas why my remote won't work? I tried replacing the batteries, no difference. Did it work fine for you all immediately? Oh and in hibernation it vuts the power to everything, so it really shouldn't work then

I just got the WinTV, installed it on my 2195 pro install, hit cancel after it detected, ran the driver .exe, rebooted, and it all works! The one thing that doesn't work: I can't get the remote to work. Has anyone been able to get it to work in Win2k? -Mike
