You won't get any help. I even emailed the developers and received a response that he'd send the email up the chain....that was close to 2 years ago and the next Worms game was released soon after. ;( I've heard a few reports that some people have gotten it to work under Windows XP but it never has for me on multiple hardware changes.

If you have broadband you should do this.

Quote: Hi i ahve XP home and you dont get gpedit EEK and i was wondering if there is any way to stop this feature? Go into your network connection and unselect the Qos box. That being said, when your using QOS for what it's made (or any other protocol) for it's not useless....but of course if you don't need it then disable it. -
This is due to different Controllers between the PC's. Either install the drives for the different controllers on one image or use sysprep and deploy with RIS. The easiest route is to simply make a Ghost Disc for each model of PC and lock down your computer repair policies so that hardware replaced matches that which was taken out. (Basically return to company or buy same parts).

Hitman: Codename 47 , Windows XP help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DosFreak replied to yleclerc's topic in Games
Try running the game without the crack and then check your SYSTEM event log for CD errors. I am unsure if the copy protection on Hitman will produce such errors since I haven't tested the new copy protection to that extent but it's more than likely that it will produce such errors. If so then this is why you must use the crack. Your CD doesn't support the copy protection that the game needs. If this is so then I suggest you write a letter to the game company. -

Hmmm, I would recommend at LEAST 32mb of ram. If you do not plan on upgrading then download 98lite and use the 95 browser. If you do not want to use 98lite then wipe 98 off of that machine and install Windows 95b. and the best solution....If you have NT4 then install that and have at least 32mb of ram on that machine and you'll be set for a few more years!

There should be an option that states something like Show floppy in Windows 95 or something. Wish I could recall the exact wordage but the floppy drive is mentioned.

Odd, it should work fine. Try going to Windows Update and downloading all of the Application Compatibility Updates. Also update to SP3 which includes some more Application fixes.

Win2k command line options to disable memory check???
DosFreak replied to CheekyMonkey's topic in Everything New Technology
Odd, very odd.... Try changing it to a memory amount to just smaller than the amount of phsyical memory in your computer. The last time I actually changed this was back in RC1 of 2000 so they may have changed something...or I could just be getting old. -
First try the games. If no work then come back.

Your company policy SHOULD be to wipe the OS that is on the computer when you receive it from the company. Are you using the same computer name as what was previously on the domain? If so delete the workstation from the domain list.

Guvernment is right about dual CPU's in gaming and in the desktop. At the desktop/gaming level the mobo technologies and peripheral hardware has a greater impact on desktop/gaming performance than dual processors does. The new Nforce board's support Dual-Channel DDR-400 and the new P4 Granite Bay mobo's only support Dual-Channel DDR-266. Of course the P4's are up to 3ghz now and the Athlons are only up to 2.25? 2800+ghz. Still the 2800+ is the better buy as far as I'm concerned, better processing power, more efficient, less costly. The P4 GB should still beat the Dual-Channel DDR-400 on the Athlon due to the P4's memory efficiency. Gonna have to check some benchies. As far as which is better for gaming performance? Faster memory definetly has a greater impact than dual processor when gaming...but it really depends on what game your running or what your running in the background. Of course when gaming only the game is running and with the newergame's sucking up more and more power forcing us to drop to lower and lower resolutions then I would have to say that faster memory would be a better buy than dual processors as far as gaming is concerned.

It's an IBM. Check your event log for IDE errors, go to the IBM website and download the IBM diagnostics, finally rip it out of your system, bash it with a sledge about 50 times, throw the ashes in a furnace, take the ashes and dump them in an abandoned missle silo and fill it up with concrete all the way to the top.
