Damn must have been a long time since I last coded...I remember using Notepad for pure HTML code, and XML, DHTML, PHP were "things of the future" LOL.

My money will go to the first one that will support Divx decoding Looks like the XBOX could be it. It's just a matter of time

Probably Home, cos you won't need to turn off 10000 services that you don't need, and come extra with Pro? Not sure tho, I didn't have the chance to compare Home with Pro to see what services are added.

I have that patch already... Any more ideas?

Lol I was just about to write that, but you got ahead of me! I use the AnalogX proxy as well, it's simple, small and kickass. Supports SOCKS properly (MSN works)

I have problems too...I downgraded my Detonators from 21.83 to 12.41, and I still get the damn lockup. However it seems I can kill the cstrike.exe and exit gracefully. Very rarely I have to cold reboot. My SBLive is in the last PCI slot (from the bottom) on a Epox 8KHA DDR mobo.

And how is that different from what I suggested, olum? Fresh install of W2K with SP2 and all the new drivers, then before you install any apps, Ghost it to CD. Unless you want to open your own software house...

And what are the requirements for buying OEM??? Usually only with a new PC, but you can get away with it when you buy anything else from the store. Rarely though...

What's the chance that many of the error codes are identical in 2000 and XP? Maybe it's because they're based on the same freaking KERNEL ???? Think...

Damn, I just read yesterday morning in a German magazine an article about W2K BSODs and error codes. They had a listing of all recorded BSOD causes, and yours was there, I saw it. However I can't remember it Ill look into it though...

SCSI eats less CPU cycles, that's for sure. But Im sorry, I wouldn't spend my money on SCSI.

It will relieve your pockets too...

I use the 21.83s W2K w/SP2 as OS, Asus V7100 Pro (GF2 MX400) gfxcard. I have the same problem as I had in XP. While playing CS I get random lockups, sound keeps looping. If im lucky I can kill the cstrike.exe process, if i'm not then I have to do a cold reboot... Really pisses me off.

w2kpro will not boot-up while I'm trying to install HP Photo
Palos replied to TomHalligan's topic in Hardware
To properly install an USB device you must FIRST install the drivers, and THEN reboot and while rebooting connect the USB cable and Powercable. After it boots it finds the device and installs the drivers by itself. -
Maybe your trial version has expired?

Hey that's an old Voodoo 1 add-on board! Long time no see... By the way, the company that made it (3DFx) has been more or less ingurgitated by nVidia. They do not provide official support anymore for 3DFx products. You can find older drivers on the web at http://www.3dfx.com/downloads.htm or you can try the Diamond Multimedia website at http://www.diamondmm.com/default.asp?men...duct=Monster_3D Enjoy
