i cant help you but i also noticed if your using direct sound in winamp and another sound event happens eg the ie5 click then the mp3 gets garbled please some one help

THanks the recovery thing worked great ps taking out the card does nothing windows still thinks the files are in use

yes i'd like to be able to delete the ctmm32 and devcon32 but it say its in use access denied i cant delete it from dos cos i have ntfs and ive tried both ntfsdos and ntfsdos professional they where no help

you see i uninstalled the livewarez 3 lol and that left the 2 files since then i unistalled the drivers etc and it left them 2 there ive tried diableing everything under sound game controllers and it still wont let me even in ntfsdos pro!!! its says access denied i dont want to format because i can find my win2k cd [This message has been edited by ACID (edited 01 March 2000).]

does anybody else get an error at about 98% when installing 3dfx tools (the latest version) yes i have installed the driver first

sorry to burst your bubble but liveware 3 has worked the whole time its worked for me with the original win2k drivers but never with the mixer cos that needs the special dlls etc of the native drivers ------------------

which liveware version are you using? if your using the 3 hack then its because it doesnt have directsound support there for uses the wave out which is crap especially in winamp

has anybody else had trouble playing half life over a lan i recently tried it at a LAN party and it seemed to crash randomly when you join or start a server sometimes it loaded only to delay the crash it said something about error/no error? im using 1.0.13 and am using the v3 drivers form this page!

ive tried to use the support tool apcompat.exe on many different applications and games but it seems to crash on everything was this ever tested to work???

i recently installed liveware 3 on win2k pro final release and everything went to plan but later i found out that direct sound doesnt work with the drivers is this normal? can you fix it cos winamp and most my games all use it
