Anybody know when VIA plans to release busmastering drivers? Getting a bit impatient. They have no excuse not to have released them weeks ago...

Yes, I won it in the first round.. showed up via UPS 2-day a few days ago. Pretty nice though the CD key didn't work (no I am neither blind nor dyslexic) and I had to hunt around a bit on DejaNews.

Just installed my copy of Win2k Pro Final. (Won from a MS drawing). Now, I'm noticing that the when hard-drive or (especially) CD-ROM usage is high, the system becomes remarkably unresponsive. E.g., it is impossible to navigate in an IE window while installing something off a CD. So, generally, IDE access seems slow. I have: AMD Athlon550, 128 MB RAM, and Asus K7M with Via MVP4 (686A) southbridge. I am led to believe that UDMA is either not enabled or is not being used correctly. Are there 2000-compatible VIA drivers out there? If not, will there be shortly? Seems like there should be, VIA had plenty of time to act on this one...
