I had that happen to me last week, annoyed for awhile until I removed the swflash.inf and swflash.pnf from the inf folder and then went to that page and it installed fine. I did remove everything about macromedia from the registry also but I think it was the inf files that were the culprit.

You can also go under device manager, bring up the properties for the computer and update drivers which will give you the same options.

I have a 8100i. I install Adaptec's EZCD creator V.4, CDRWin 3.7d. Everything works just fine. [This message has been edited by ganesha (edited 24 February 2000).]

Johnny: see my above post. I have a MX300 also and had the same problem with the sound cutting out after a second or two, it's definitely a IRQ conflict. Even after I had free IRQ's after switching to a standard PC I still had to switch slots until all the cards were happy. Now it works just fine. Now if only my new Viewsonic PF790 didn't have all this damn moire. Looks like it's going back

I have the same board and HAD the same problem. The only way to get around this is to disable ACPI until they get it worked out. This involves a quick reinstall of Win2K over itself. When you get to the screen asking if you have any 3rd party SCSI drivers to install hit F6, you will want to hit F5. Pick "Standard PC". After it installs you'll have your IRQ's again

For some reason Win2K decides to put all peripherals under IRQ9 which is causing conflicts. Forcing IRQs to slots has no effect. Changing slots has no effect. The main problem is with my sound card-Monster MX300. I can play MP3's until I open a internet browser which causes a conflict between the sound card and the ethernet card which causes the sound to stop working. I have seen other instances of this with IRQ 9 on the Asus newsgroup but no solutions. Anybody have any ideas?

I've burned over 30 cd's in Win2K(2153-RTM) with EZCD creator 4.0 without a coaster. As long as you're not trying to copy copy-protected disks, it works just fine.
